Microsoft has announced that The Outer Worlds 2 will be released on October 29th. To celebrate this announcement, Microsoft shared the game’s official story trailer which you can find below.
The Outer Worlds 2 is the eagerly awaited sequel to the award-winning first-person sci-fi RPG from Obsidian Entertainment (just look at the exciting number of dashes in this sentence!). Time to clear your calendar – get ready for an action-packed adventure with a new crew, new weapons, and new enemies in a new colony! So much newness!
In The Outer Worlds 2, you play as a brave agent from Earth. Strange rifts are tearing things apart, and it’s your job to find out why. Your search takes you to Arcadia, the place where skip drive technology was created. What happens to the colony, and even the whole galaxy, depends on the choices you make, the people you trust, and the team you lead.
Players will be able to create a character that fits how they like to play. Every choice you make will change the story, and the colony will react to what you do. You can be smart and careful, peaceful and kind, wild and chaotic—or anything in between. And yes, you can choose to play as someone who isn’t very smart too.
Players will find and team up with characters who each have their own personalities, stories, and dreams. You can help them reach their goals or guide them to help with yours. What you choose to do will affect their journey, and even their lives, making them an important part of your story.
For what it’s worth, Obsidian has not yet shared any PC requirements. As soon as it does, we’ll be sure to share them with you.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
