Half-Life Alyx NoVR Mod finally allows you to play the entire campaign

And the time has finally come. The “GB_2 Development Team” has released a new update for Half-Life: Alyx NoVR Mod. And, according to the devs, gamers can now enjoy the entire campaign mode.

Furthermore, the team has made the Gravity Gloves fully functional in this NoVR Mod. Not only that, but players will find combine fabricators to upgrade their weapons.

Going into more details, players can now grab any object from a distance including ammo and other pick ups. Moreover, wooden planks can now be broken off doorways and doors. Players can also open cranks, doors, cabinets etc by pressing E once or twice for some.

You can download the latest version of this mod from here. You can also find below a new gameplay video for it. Do note, though, that it may contain spoilers.

  1. I still recommend playing it the way its meant to be, its quite an amazing experience in vr and the audio is something else i remember pressing my ear to a pipe and hearing running water

    1. My journey with gaming began with the Half-Life uplink demo. I love the series. But I won’t buy a VR set for one game.

        1. spoken like a true VR cultist. I know you want everyone to buy VR headsets so it catches on but it wont. VR sucks and you people are a cult

          1. VR is basically in the classic emerging tech situation still – More would get if it was plenty of support… but devs won’t go belly up because it’s so few who have good VR.

Dont have an VR set anymore but great VR is really awesome but sadly few have experienced proper VR, rather cheap low fps/stutter fests/insane input latency VR but that’s not really VR.. its nausea waiting to happen.

          2. At this point, VR is used mostly by social outcasts similar to people who play Second Life. Statistically, saying the average VR user is virgin and sad is a very reasonable statement.

    2. Good VR is amazing, crap VR is nauseating and immersion breaking. Shame good proper VR costs a kidney or five

  2. My adventure with the game began with the Half-Life Uplik demo. I love the series, but I won’t buy a VR set for one game.

  3. This is dumb as f*k. You have to understand that the games whole point was to showcase VR. If you don’t get that either you are too dumb or you don’t care. If you don’t care fare enough. I could sell you my vr headset then. I’m just tired of people these days being so f*king stupid they can’t understand the concept of something being made for vr in mind. It’s infuriating that society is that dumb.

  4. sincerely, this game look very boring, It have the same art that half-life 2 city, only dark hallwys, look like a survival horror… Valve as games developer is dead, he betrayed his fanbase with this elitist game…

I dont think that worth the time play this

  5. I played this with Mixed Reality headset for pc. And It was amazing. Don’t talk about your gonna wait for something better if you have never tried VR on a PC headset before. You have no idea how immersive the experience is. You are completely surrounded 360 degrees.

    1. Yes, it’s immersive for your eyes. Meanwhile you are teleporting around and if you try walking the screen blurs/vignette’s 99%… How very immersive indeed.

      1. All of those can be disabled in the options, the teleportation and the vignette effects they are there for people that feels discomfort with VR, im not sensitive so i played without that vignette effect and with continuous movements

  6. Valve is just an online store now, way easier and profitable they shouldn’t have tried to come back to deving, just not going to be able to live up to the HL2 hype train. Yeah I owned HL2 disks and played it, great game but there were plenty of good games and ofc nothing new past the base game was ever done. So what another 100gb dl for a mod to play normally a game that looks not that good tbh Like Avatar 1, movie same boringaz occult blather we’ve been getting for decades BUT add in 3d it was neat, event movie.

  7. Play this game with the ”no vr mod” seems boring this game was made to play in vr. To play this game in vr is 100x much better.

  8. Play this game with the ”no vr mod” seems boring this game was made to play in vr. To play this game in vr is 100x much better.

  9. Beat this game twice in VR. Was fun playing the last great game to ever grace VR because VR is dead. Can’t imagine this game being fun at all in regular 2d tho. I imagine it’s the equivalent to playing a game with noclip mode activated.

  10. Vr is amazing when you have the gear and there are awesome games în every category, blade and sorcery, boneworks, fps games that I forget, etc. The immersion is incredible and you could, right now buy everything the guys in ready player one had, from the haptic suit, to gloves that can make you feel 3d objects, to the omni treadmill, etc.
There are guys spending tens of thousands $ to build racing or flight sims, with that money you could be ready player one-ing tomorrow on 8k headsets with incredible fov and screens.

  11. I still say it is amazing in VR because in flatscreen, it is just meh. The whole point was to interact with the world. And if people just want the story.
Alyx gets in trouble. Foreshadowing dad dies. G-man makes a deal to save his life.
It’s not like we are ever gonna get a follow up anyway.
