First Starfield mods released even though the game isn’t out yet

Starfield will officially release on September 6th and despite that, the first mods for it have already appeared online. Hell, its Early Access phase hasn’t even started yet (the game will unlock for those who have purchased the Digital Premium and Constellation Editions in two hours).

One of the most important tools for all modders is the BAE – Bethesda Archive Extractor. By using this tool, modders will be able to extract the BA2 files that the game uses. In theory, this will speed up the process of modding the game.

Another cool mod (or cheat if you want to call it that) is Lazy Money. This mod features six files in total to give you 1000 to 100,000,000 credits. This will let you skip grinding, and we know that some players will definitely appreciate it.

Lastly, you can download this mod that allows you to skip the Bethesda video you see when you launch Starfield, as well as this mod that disables the Message of the Day box on the main menu. There are also numerous Reshade Mods for Starfield, however, we suggest skipping them until there is a good-looking Reshade Ray Tracing Mod.

In short, these first mods for Starfield are pretty basic. Still, it’s astonishing that we already have mods for it when the game isn’t even out yet. It also sets the right foundations for future mods. So yeah, I can’t wait to see what modders will be able to create for this new game.

As we’ve already reported, the PC version of Starfield supports native 4K resolutions and 60fps. In case you were unaware, the console version is locked at 30fps. Not only that but it appears that the game will support over 60fps by default. This will be the first Bethesda game that will have support for high framerates.

We’ll be sure to share our initial PC performance impressions of Starfield later tonight. I’ll experiment with some “FSR2.0 to DLSS 2” mods that came out for other games to see if I can force DLSS 2 into the game. I don’t think it will work but hey, at least I can try.

Stay tuned for more!
