2K Games has released a teaser trailer for Turtle Rock Studios’ upcoming multiplayer title, Evolve. This teaser gives us a glimpse at a multiplayer trailer – that is said to be interactive – that will premiere on April 24th. Evolve pits a team of four players against a giant monster. YouTube’s member ‘pkRenTenTen’ has uploaded an one hour video in which CD Projekt’s Marcin Iwinski and Michal Nowakowski talk about the benefits of being an independent game developer. This talk took place during the Quo Vadis Game Developers Conference in Berlin. Marcin and Michal talked about some really interesting things, including BioWare’s Aurora engine, what pushed them to create their own engine for The Witcher series, why it did make sense to partner with Atari for the distribution of the first The Witcher game, and more. Here Is Your First Look At SOE’s H1Z1 – Survival Zombie MMO Inspired By DayZ
Sony Online Entertainment has livestreamed H1Z1, and below you can find the video from that stream showing 40 minutes of gameplay footage (gameplay footage kicks off at the 2:10 mark). H1Z1 is a zombie MMO title that is inspired by Rust and DayZ, will feature an open persistent world and is based on Planetside 2’s Forgelight Engine. Now I’ll be honest here; I wasn’t impressed with what I saw. Sure thing, this is still in early development but I was expecting something more than that. Brutal Doom Keeps Getting Better & Better – New Video Shows “Ragdoll Physics”
There is no doubt that Brutal Doom is – thus far – THE BEST mod ever created for id Software’s classic FPS title. Modder ‘SGtMarkIV’ has released a new video for the next version of Brutal Doom that will feature “ragdoll physics” effects. Naturally, these are not real physics effects, just a simulation of the effect. Still, it looks great and adds a lot to the overall atmosphere. According to the modder, shotguns, explosions and kicks will be causing these ragdoll-like effects. Enjoy! Okay, this is simply too good to pass up. YouTube’s ‘EV niconico’ has recreated in GTA V the Red Band trailer from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. This is a great parody and as you may have expected, although it comes close to the actual trailer, it’s not as good. But then again, that was never the initial intention.
