Project CARS Looks Fabulous – New Screenshots In All Their HD Glory

Project CARS v3

Slightly Mad Studios has released a new set of screenshots for its upcoming racer, Project CARS. Contrary to our previous galleries, this time around we decided to keep the images in their original resolution, giving you the ability to further drool all over your monitor while viewing them. As the team noted, these images show purely in-game footage that has not been made in any special photo mode, using no post-processing or filters that aren’t available during the actual gameplay. I know, I know – the gameplay videos do not look as impressive, right? Well, during those videos you were not really looking at the in-game vehicles from these angles, were you? Enjoy! Bound by Flame Gets Three New Screenshots

Bound By Flame

Focus Home Interactive has released three new screenshots for Bound by Flame, the new game developed by Spiders studios for PC, PS4, PS3 and X360, showing some of the extraordinary creatures in the vast bestiary. According to the press release, Bound by Flame will use the combat system designed for Mars War Logs, the previous Spiders RPG where the highly dynamic and tactical approach to the combat proved a real hit with players, but goes further and offers players even greater variety and tactical depth in battles. In short, Bound by Flame aims to feature battles both tactically complex and spectacular, so it will be interesting to see whether Spiders will be able to deliver. Enjoy the screenshots after the jump. Continue reading Bound by Flame Gets Three New Screenshots

CRYENGINE has potential – New indoor scenes blur the line between reality and video-games

CRYENGINE

Man, CRYENGINE has a lot of potential. A couple of hours ago, John shared with you some amazing images from a car model that was created with Crytek’s engine. Well, get ready for some extra CRYENGINE treatment as modder Paravach has presented an amazing indoor scene from a new map. Believe it or not, this is rendered via CRYENGINE, though we don’t know if it’s actually playable on current gen PC systems. Not only that, but you can easily spot some rough spots (as well as the lack of AO on other spots); faults that wouldn’t be present in CG images.  Continue reading CRYENGINE has potential – New indoor scenes blur the line between reality and video-games

Next-Gen Racers Can Achieve CG Quality Graphics With CRYENGINE

cryengine car

CRYENGINE modder ‘Mrick’ has released some mind-blowing screenshots from a car that has been created via Crytek’s engine. According to the modder, all exterior parts have a vertex colors Ambient Occlusion, while the interior parts have an Ambient Occlusion baked in the Shader parameter “Detail mapping” made with the Mental Ray AO and render to texture. Furthermore, the carbon Texture and Body Paint have a second Mesh for the glossy reflection. In short, this car model looks astounding and its level of detail is beyond anything we’ve seen. Now imagine a next-gen title with this kind of car models on highly detailed environments. Let’s hope that devs will start using this engine for their next-gen projects. Until then, enjoy the screenshots! Continue reading Next-Gen Racers Can Achieve CG Quality Graphics With CRYENGINE

WRC 4 Looks Lovely – New Screenshots Released

WRC 4

Milestone has released a new set of screenshots for its upcoming rally game, WRC 4. WRC 4 looks lovely in these images, though it looks like the team has applied some post-processing filters to them. Now I wouldn’t call them bullshots as the same visuals can be achieved with SweetFX, however it’s pretty obvious that the vanilla version won’t look this ‘sharp’. WRC 4 is planned for an October release on PC, X360, PS3 and PS Vita. Enjoy! Continue reading WRC 4 Looks Lovely – New Screenshots Released

Project CARS Keeps Impressing Us With Its Visuals – New Community Screenshots

Project CARS v5

Ah, the beauty of Project CARS. It’s not stretch to say that Slightly Mad Studios’ racer looks more impressive than all the upcoming next-gen racing games, meaning that it sports visuals better than those of Forza 5. Truth be told, Slightly Mad Studios will have more time to tweak, adjust and enhance its title as it’s planned for a mid 2014 release, but even in its current alpha state, this racer looks awesome. As usual, the company has released a new set of community screenshots for it that can be viewed below. In addition, we’ve included a video that features destructible cars and flips. Enjoy!
