NVIDIA will enable G-Sync to specific FreeSync PC monitors, first compatible models announced

NVIDIA has just announced that it will enable G-Sync functionalities to a select number of FreeSync/Adaptive-Sync PC monitors that are currently available on the market. According to NVIDIA’s founder and CEO Jensen Huang, the green team is currently testing all FreeSync monitors and has announced the first models that will support G-Sync. NVIDIA announces that Bioware’s Anthem will support Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS)

At CES 2019, NVIDIA has confirmed that Bioware’s Anthem will support its DLSS tech, Deep Learning Super Sampling. DLSS is perhaps the most promising tech we’ve seen from NVIDIA (as real-time ray tracing is still a lot of demanding even for RTX2080Ti) so we are glad that more developers are adopting it. Rumour: NVIDIA launching next-gen Ampere on 7nm in 2020, AMD launching Navi on 7nm in July 2019

CES 2019 begins in two days and while NVIDIA will host its keynote later today, AMD will host its keynote this Wednesday. And while we have a small idea of what we can expect from AMD, Tweaktown has reported that NVIDIA’s next-generation Ampere GPU will be launching in 2020 and not in 2019. Max Payne gets an amazing HD Texture Pack using ESRGAN that is available for download

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; ESRGAN is a new godsend AI technique that can significantly improve the textures of older titles. So far we’ve seen modders using ESRGAN to enhance and improve the textures of Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Doom and Morrowind, and today I’m happy to report that a new HD Texture Pack has been released for the first Max Payne game. Project Variety is a new major overhaul mod for Mass Effect 3 that is available for download

Modder ‘Scottina123’ has released a massive new overhaul mod for Mass Effect 3, called Project Variety. Project Variety aims to fix everything the modder found annoying about the game. As such, everything – from the Citadel’s population, to the weapons the Shepard and company uses during the cutscenes and much much more – has been modified in order to make Mass Effect 3 feel more unique than it was before.
