Mysterious counter appears on The Witcher 2’s Polish Website, celebrating 8th birthday of The Witcher forum [UPDATE]

Our reader Sid Spyker has spotted a mysterious counter on the official Polish website of The Witcher 2. As the counter suggests, something – regarding The Witcher 2 franchise – will be unveiled in 29 days. It’s still a long way until then, but what could this actually be? We do know that CD Projekt RED has released the Mac version of The Witcher 2 and that the Redkit Mod Tools will be released during the first half of 2013 to all who own a copy of The Witcher 2. Therefore, could this be a counter for a new DLC or an expansion pack? One can only hope so! Refract Studios, a new studio formed from developers behind the student PC racing game Nitronic Rush, have announced that they are developing a spiritual successor to Nitronic Rush called Distance. In short, it’s Trials Evolution + Rush 2049 + Halo + Tron. The game takes the intense action of arcade racing and fuses it with the exploration of an atmospheric world. You control a unique car that allows you to boost, jump, rotate, and even fly to survive in a chaotic and twisted city. Get ready everyone because this is what a lot of you have been waiting for. Digital Extremes has just informed us about the beginning of the Warframe Closed Beta, meaning that the new Free-to-play, sci-fi action game – from the developers behind Unreal, Dark Sector and The Darkness II – is now in its testing phase.
