Crytek’s CEO confirms that – and fails to explain why – Crysis 3 is a DX11-only title

Crysis 3 v2
Earlier this month, we posted Crysis 3’s official requirements. As those requirements suggested, Crysis 3 was planned to be a DX11-only title, something that was hinted by the game’s alpha beta stress test. However, and since Crytek did not officially comment on them, a lot of PC gamers believed that DX10 could be supported by the DX11 renderer, something that is happening in a lot of games. Unfortunately for those hoping for something like that, Crytek’s CEO Cevat Yerli revealed that Crysis 3 will be a DX11-only title. Peter Molyneux’s Project Godus Gets A Prototype Video

GODUS
Peter Molyneux and 22Cans have released a prototype video for Godus. Although this video was made in just two weeks, I have to say that it’s a bit underwhelming. You see, Godus – at its current state – looks like an uglier version of Black & White (without its creature-thing). I have no doubt that 22Cans will polish its title, however I’m a bit concerned with what the team has shown us so far. In all honesty, it doesn’t look like something that will leave you speechless. But anyway, you can view this prototype video below and you can back its Kickstarter campaign up (only 3 days left to it). Continue reading Peter Molyneux’s Project Godus Gets A Prototype Video

Today, Carmack reconfirmed those beliefs, despite the recent rumors about the hardware that will power both X720 and PS4. Duke Nukem (John St. John) meets God (Morgan Freeman)

Duke Nukem
Duke Nukem fans, this is for you. Gearbox’s forum member ‘trustn0!’ has spotted an amazing parody in which Duke Nukem confronts God. Long story short: Duke is trying to enter paradise and God is trying to check whether he’s on the paradise list or not. It’s a hilarious gift from John St. John, and although we are not 100% sure that the God voice is Morgan Freeman himself, it does sound like him. Enjoy!
