As we told you in our Performance Analysis, Croteam had included some color options in Serious Sam 3: BFE that can be tweaked on the fly. We bet that most gamers didn’t bother with them, so we went ahead and tried to capture some screenshots with some custom, artistic settings. It’s really amazing what some color/contrast/gamma calibration can do and in order to give you an idea of those promising – almost endless – choices, we’ve also included a before and after shot of a scene from the game. Now these screenshots are not with one custom setting, so there is no point in asking us about the options we used. Each and every screenshot was tweaked with different color/contrast/gamma values. So, what do you think? Does it look better than Battlefield 3? Continue reading Serious Sam 3: BFE is the best looking PC game to date; New screenshots with artistic touch→
We’ve seen various release dates for Diablo III, so here comes a new one from another online shop. According to Target.com, Diablo III will be released on February 7th. In case the date rings any bells, it’s the Valentine’s day and – wait for it – it’s on Tuesday. Now this could be possible, as most major game releases are happening on Tuesdays. However, we are uncertain of the date as Blizzard hasn’t announced any official one, so take that with a grain of salt. Point is that Diablo III is indeed coming on the first quarter of 2012, so get ready everyone! Continue reading Target.com has listed Diablo III for a February 7th release→
Now that’s really hilarious. As you may already know, Battlefield 3 does not properly support VoIP. Yes, you are still able to use it but that’s thanks to Battlelog as DICE’s platform offers this feature and not the game itself. Of course, there are various issues due to this decision and it seems that DICE is not willing to fix them by properly including VoIP support to Battlefield 3. The reason? It’s bad business. Wait what? Continue reading Battlefield 3 – No plans for VOIP PC changes; bad business to properly fix it→

Modder ‘sebastian__’ released some new screenshots for his Adventure/fantasy/LOST-type movie that is based on the CryEngine 2. This movie is trying to push the boundaries of Crytek’s engine to the next level and sports some jaw-dropping visuals. According to sebastian__, the following images are in real-time but they are not playable as the framerate is around 15 in low-resolutions. Therefore, don’t expect to see such graphics in video-games anytime soon (or at least until the next-generation of consoles hit the market). No release date has been announced as of yet. YouTube user ‘deepcameo’ uploaded a series of time lapse clips shot around Skyrim on PC set to Ultra High settings. There is something really awesome in these timelapse videos that is really hard to explain. It might be the fact that we get to see how the engine renders various scenes in different time of days or the fact that it’s like looking into the past (or into the future, whatever suits you). Fact is that this kind of videos are a beauty to watch so go ahead and take a look at it! Continue reading The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – New Timelapse Video→
