Bethesda redeems itself with Skyrim 1.4 Beta; huge performance boost over its previous 1.3 version

It took Bethesda a while but finally, Skyrim has been re-compiled with some optimization tools and its 1.4 Beta patch comes with incredible performance gains over its previous version. In fact, Skyrim 1.4 Beta runs even better than Alexander’s awesome performance boost tool, SkyBoost. Yeap, Bethesda has finally redeemed itself and Skyrim performs the way it was meant to. We are talking about 16fps increase in most cases and sometimes, we can even notice a 30fps jump. That’s huge and shows how unoptimized Skyrim was in the first place. Indiana Jones – Raiders of the Lost Ark recreated in Minecraft

And it’s time for another Minecraft video, hooraaaaaaay. CraftedMovie has recreated of one of the best movie scenes ever. Indiana Jones – Raiders of the Lost Ark is considered a classic movie and CraftedMovie has managed to recreate in Minecraft the scene where Jones explores a temple and retrieves a golden idol. Incredible Battlefield 3 Fan-Made Trailer

YouTube’s member ‘lmMonkeyGOD’ has managed to create an amazing, fan-made trailer for Battlefield 3. ImMonkeyGOD’s video is an entry to the “Only in Battlefield 3” Community Video Challenge that is currently underway and looks damn impressive. Dark Souls Online Petition was successful; surpassed 80K signs but won’t hit 100K anytime soon

It was good while it lasted, right? The Dark Souls petition seems to be at its end as it fulfilled its purpose and as a result of that, the amount of new sign-ups is slowing to a crawl these past few days. This basically means that the petition won’t hit the round number of 100K anytime soon. Nevertheless, achieving 80K signs in just two weeks is an accomplishment in its own right. To be more precise, the petition surpassed the 80K mark in January 20th and today it’s at 81500. Amazing fan-made trailer for Mass Effect

Well looky here, we got us a new, incredible fan-made Mass Effect trailer. YouTube member ‘xRaetastic’ felt the need to create a ‘random internet fan trailer’ for BioWare’s RPG series and we are pretty sure that he didn’t expect it to be featured in so many gaming sites. But we can’t help it as this particular fan-made trailer is one of the best edited things we have ever seen. There is perfect editing, wonderful choice of quotes and song that fits to it. Dear Esther OST Announced

The soundtrack to upcoming indie game Dear Esther has already received plenty of acclaim, and today it is announced that the OST will see its own release via digital channels. Composer Jessica Curry created the haunting music and soundscapes for the original Dear Esther, an experimental Source mod released in 2008. Croteam is currently working on the console versions of Serious Sam 3: BFE

Great news for console gamers as Devolver Digital has just announced that Croteam is currently working on the console versions of Serious Sam 3: BFE. Both Devolver and Croteam haven’t revealed any possible release date or the platforms in which Serious Sam 3 will be ported. Devolver stated that Croteam is working on Serious Sam 3 for consoles, and since WiiU is nowhere to be found, we can safely assume that it will come to both PS3 and X360. Battlefield 3’s community manager hints at some new stuff that will be revealed later today

Daniel Matros, Battlefield 3’s community manager, has just tweeted that some new BF3 stuff are on the way. Obviously DICE is working at something new and Daniel teased BF3’s fans by saying that they are in for a treat, as this ‘new stuff’ will be revealed today. What this nice surprise could actually be? Overgrowth Alpha 166 Changes

Wolfire Games has released a new video, in which David Rosen shows off the changes that have been made to the latest alpha version of Overgrowth. This week, David added some knife hostage animations (replaces choke when using knife) and a throat cut (press attack during knife hostage), as well as one-handed body drag when wielding weapon. New screenshots for the indie first-person fantasy adventure game, Relikt

Serygala, the man behind PSISHOCK, has released some brand new screenshots for his other indie game, Relikt. Contrary to PSISHOCK, Relikt is built on UDK and promises to be a crossover of Thief and Penumbra for its first half and an Indiana Jones game in its second.
