The Bard’s Tale IV Will Be inXile’s New Kickstarter Project, Will Be Powered by Unreal Engine 4

inXile Entertainment announced today that it will return to Kickstarter for their next big cRPG project, The Bard’s Tale IV, launching Monday June 2nd at 6 AM PST/13:00 UTC. inXile Entertainment plans to return to Skara Brae for a true dungeon-crawling sequel to the original The Bard’s Tale trilogy that helped define the cRPG genre.

Umbra announced today that Fatshark has licensed the Umbra SDK to boost the real-time graphics performance of Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide. According to the press release, the game is using the new Stingray game engine developed by Autodesk. Umbra’s occlusion culling technology has been integrated into Stingray to improve visibility optimization.

NVIDIA has released a new video for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, showing off its GameWorks effects that will be featured in it. According to NVIDIA, over three-dozen animals and monsters feature NVIDIA HairWorks for stunningly realistic fur and hair that moves with the creatures movement as well as environmental effects such wind.
