PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds sets new record for concurrent players, over 2 million concurrent players

And the battle for the best battle royale game has heated up. A couple of minutes ago, Epic Games revealed that Fortnite: Battle Royale passed ten million total players. And almost simultaneously, Bluehole Studio revealed that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has set a new record for concurrent players on Steam.

Epic Games has just announced that ten million players have played Fortnite’s battle royale free mode. What’s really interesting here is that the game’s population increased by 3 million players since last week. After all, and on October 4th, Epic Games revealed that Fortnite has passed 7 million players.
