Well that was fast. Daybreak Games has announced that it will be shutting down the servers for PlanetSide Arena on January 10th, 2020. PlanetSide Arena launched in Early Access in September 2019, and a full release was planned for January 2020.

Red Dead Redemption 2 December 13 Update 1.15 released, full patch notes unveiled

Rockstar has released a new major update for Red Dead Redemption 2. According to the release notes, the December 13th Update 1.15 brings new content to Red Dead Online. Furthermore, it packs some balance and gameplay improvements to both Red Dead Online and Red Dead Redemption 2.

Gears Tactics is coming to the PC on April 28th, won’t feature microtransactions, PC requirements

Microsoft has announced that Gears Tactics will be coming to the PC on April 28th, 2020. Gears Tactics is the fast-paced, turn-based strategy game set 12 years before the first Gears of War. The game will not feature any microtransactions, and you can find its latest gameplay trailer below.

Obsidian Entertainment has released a brand new update for The Outer Worlds. According to the release notes, Update 1.2 adds “Chromatic Aberration” and “Head Bobbing” settings to all platforms. Moreover, it packs a lot of fixes for bugs and glitches.

New Star Control: Origins benchmark released, focuses on measuring DirectX 12 & Vulkan performance

Stardock has released a benchmark on the Star Control: Origins game. The benchmark is set on an alien world that is generated on-the-fly as the scripted lander travels over it. The objective is to measure high-end PC gaming performance using DirectX 12 and Vulkan, while putting as much stress on the CPU as possible also.
