This mod for The Witcher 3 lets you play in first-person mode, supports combat & customizable FOV

SkacikPL has released a new version of his amazing first-person mod for The Witcher 3. This mod features an immersive first person camera that properly follows Geralt’s body and supports a customizable FOV (in range from 1 to 110), customizable, separate X and Y axis mouse sensitivity, as well as experimental combat mechanics.

This mod has been in development since 2016. In April 2016, SkacikPL released the first version of his mod that did not support any combat mechanics. Fast forward a year and some months and here we are with a better version that makes the game feel like a Bethesda title.

This mod also comes with an optional first-person-only DOF effect, a mode that will allow players to avoid combat as long as they’re in first person mode, and immersive lighting.

Those interested can download this mod from here.

Have fun!

  1. Look at the character animations, the level design the atmosphere….skyrim eat your heart out.

Imagine how fallout would be if bethesda gave them the license…just imagine.

The fact cyberpunk is my favorite setting and cdprojekt is gonna make a cyberpunk open world game WITH FPS VIEW…keeps me going through those hard times.

    1. tis gonna be a long road till cyberpunk is released
my guess it’s either 2018 or 2019, considering they never showed any alpha footage

  2. “We’re Skyrim now”

I ‘get’ the sentiment that the Youtuber is seeking to communicate but as good as The Witcher III was I’m done with it and its expansion packs after two playthroughs. Meanwhile, I’m still playing heavily modded Skyrim, now Skyrim Special Edition, after a combined +450 hours playtime and don’t imagine stopping soon.

    1. Both are, at their core different experiences.

Witcher’s main selling point and the reason they play it is for Story/Quest/Characters. Skyrim on the other hand is mainly designed with a sandbox-ish approach to RPG formula, where “you can do whatever you want” approach. That is why mods thrive so much on Bethesda’s games and are endlessly replayable.
