We’ve heard a lot of rumours surrounding a PC version of Gears of War 4, so here is today another hint about it. The Coalition’s studio head, Rod Fergusson, claimed that the game is possibly coming to the PC.
As Rod Fergusson told GameInformer when he was asked about a PC version of Gears of War 4:
“Possibly”
Okay, this is not a confirmation but at least it’s something. It shows that both The Coalition and Microsoft are looking into bringing this fourth part of the Gears of War series to the PC. Otherwise, Fergusson would simply reply with a “No”.
Ten days ago, IGN claimed that Gears of War 4 was coming to the PC. And before that, Gamespot claimed that the game would be coming to the PC.
As we’ve already said, there are only rumours surrounding the PC version of Gears of War 4, however we’re almost certain that it is a matter of “when” and not a matter of “if”.

what is point skip gears of war 2 and 3 and play 4 ? 🙁 wee need past versions to i played first game and i love it and i know gears of war 3 is amazing game 🙁
Why not except that time moves on and 4 is the most uptodate and be grateful? It’s not just a case of “recompiling”. There is a shed load of work and rearchitecture to do.

I don’t think they feel like porting the 360 version to PC and perhaps Epic Games and Microsoft don’t see eye to eye about it. It was after all, Epic who wanted it to remain exclusive to consoles because the PC market isn’t “profitable”.

same reason Witcher 3 is on PS4 or why MGS V is on PC. to make money. there is an excuse for each of them of course.
here the excuse is that it is probably not directly related to the previous trilogy. the protagonist is Marcus’s son and you may miss out on some fanservice moments at best. unless it turns out that the premise of this game is to find your mom or something cause i assume we don’t know who Marcus banged…(probably Ana? i am not a big Gears of War fan so i don’t know)

As a pc gamer i only played Gears 1. Since gears 2 and 3 are not coming to pc unless microsodt decides to make remake for one and pc then i want to know do we need to have p;layed gears 2 and 3 to understand the story of 4 or it dosent matter? There is also gears of war Judgement but it is a prequel to Gears of war 1.
i dont think the story will be that much related to previous games as its gonna take place 25 years after GOW 3.

if you are ok with windows store exclusive. Guess when the game doesnt sell what they expect, M$ will blame piracy and make a new console and again, threat PC gamers as sh ! t . Of course they pathetic store will never be the fault of many people dont getting their games. :S
I don’t know but GoW 4 feels a bit off. It doesn’t have that AAA vibe. I’ve seen some screenshots and gameplay videos and it reeks of mediocrity. I hope I’m wrong.
