A new unofficial version of Halo Online hit the Internet a couple of hours ago. This new version can be downloaded via the game’s launcher as all future updates can be done through the game’s launcher.
According to the team, this version comes with VOIP, Chat, and Server Browser (with pings and previews) support.
This is amazing news for all Halo fans. And at this point we are curious to see Microsoft’s reaction to this whole unofficial development of this completely free version of Halo Online.
Those interested can visit the following video and find some instructions in order to download the game’s launcher (we won’t be offering direct-linking).
Have fun everyone!

I’ve forgotten that this is a thing. O_o
Amazing development, just goes to show how much gamers care much more about the games than the publishers/devs.
Meh the community is dead.
The community actually is really alive they were just split over lots of vpns even today we have seen a huge spike in players as we can all come together through one server browser.
just coz you cant get on a game doesnt mean the community is dead, check out the reddit page.
as above posts,I completely forget about this and actually went naive enough thinking they will bring the real thing to PC 🙁
Just bring it to the rest of the world already !
Damn you Microsoft sayign they want to “renew their focus” on PC gaming, and stills faills to deliver Halo Online world wide…
I don’t get it. The unofficial development is going faster than the official?
The official version wouldn’t get away with being this broken.
