The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Two New Screenshots Revealed

As you may have noticed, yesterday we did not post any new screenshots for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Blasphemy. Blasphemy I tell you. How could this be? Well, in order to redeem ourselves for such a thing, today we present you two new screenshots that have been recently revealed. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is scheduled for a May release. We’ve also included a shot – presumably – captured from a preview event, showing Geralt wearing the same outfit from the first “The Witcher” game. Enjoy!

  1. Unfortunately John they’re very old, the top one is from Famitsu, sometime around E3 2014 and the 2nd one is video screencap from the Elder Blood trailer.

  3. The bottom one is probably taking place at kaer morhen during ciri’s training. Can’t wait to play that whole chapter from the books !
    I am however disappointed at the lack of chest hair.

          SPOILER FROM THE BOOKS:

          Ironically later on in the books he helps queen Meve of Lyria and Rivia fighting on a bridge over the Yaruga. He and Cahir fought back Nilfgaardian infantery with the help of remaining troops of Meve.
          In honour of his courageous fight Meve knighted Geralt and from there on he officially has the name and title Geralt of Rivia.

    1. I can’t tell if it’s a joke so no it’s not, it’s Ciri. Geralt’s adopted daughter ?

      Edit : Oh and, unlike Bioware RPGs, you wouldn’t be able to customize Geralt in any way.

        And unlike Mass effect 3 and DA3, the third game from witcher saga will be glorious.

      2. We’ll see, I guess. If she has all the same moves and attacks then she’s just a Geralt reskin, which would make her a Fem-Geralt, regardless of their in-game story surrounding her heritage.

        1. Since she was trained in the same fighting style as geralt, having similar moves actually makes sence. Everything else would be a disapointment for fans of the books.

          1. Im talking about gameplay, tho. Fem-Shephard was so named because she uses the same manly animations as the male character.

          2. Ah ok now I get what you mean 🙂 As I recall CDProject revealed in an interview that ciri, though having the same training, will have her own moves which differ from geralt. Geralt is a inhumanly fast fighting mutant with incredible reflexes and ciri is a “human” girl with special sorcery abilities who has been trained in witcher sword fighting. If CDProject keeps on trying to capture the books details, as they so far so proudly do, I expect to see that difference.

          4. Ciri also only has one sword, supposedly. She’s not a reskin of geralt.

        1. hmmm… depends now on the optimization .
          a 290x crossfire would have been better for 4k (and cheaper too).are you talking about 8x msaa or uber?
          with 4k , there is very little need of aa , mybe fxaa will suffice?

          i heavily expect w3 to be one of the first games to utiize i7s potential by quite a bit.the amount of calcs going on in this game are insane from what i heard

          1. Yep. Minimum AA . I’m a NVIDIA fanboy so I never tried a AMD gpu. And not that cheaper. I’m SLIing a 650w since 2012(670-770-970).-I highly doubt if its enough to cross.

            Consoles does have a weak cpu so I doubt a 100% usage of 4 core

          2. the thing i ike about nv is the driver updates and the hand in glove dealings with the game companies. makes it worth the extra 50$

            650w for a 670 sli? i thought the 6 series wasnt that effecient?

            i know you can sli a 970 in 650w , but is that little of a headroom worth the risk? personally sir, i just give a headroom of 100w

            but here i am waiting for the amd 3xx series and its hbm tech

          3. Yep. Getting a gold series…July I wandering about a third one. A 980 doesn’t sell that fast around here at Brazil

          5. Yep. A 970 here is priced at 870$. I could get a a way better PC if in Europe. At least STEAM games are priced 40% less than in U.S.
