VG247 has reported that GTA V may very well slip to 2015. During this year’s Gamescom, YouTube’s “HalcyonDeathSquad” (who has also interviewed the Vice President of Sony Worldwide Europe for VG247) heard from a lot of publishers that the current-gen version of GTA V will be delayed to 2015.
There was another rumor yesterday about the PC version getting cancelled, but that rumor is most probably fake. We won’t bother with it as Foxweekly’s source is basically non-existent, so there isn’t really any point covering it.
On the other hand, this delay sounds plausible. Let’s not forget that Rockstar has been really quite about current-gen GTA V since E3. There haven’t been any trailers or screenshots from it, something that definitely worries us as September is almost at its end.
As HalcyonDeathSquad also claimed, GTA V was present behind closed doors at Gamescom 2014, however it was only shown to retailers and not to journalists.

I’m not surprised. I don’t mind waiting but seriously, are there any future games that are not being delayed into 2015? Every day there’s a new article about some game being pushed back. Hopefully all that time is being put to good use.
The game was never supposed to launch this year . It was just listed as 2014 title to build the hype around consoles and the game . I never
believed it . Greedy company like Rockstar won’t release their game next to games like COD , Dragon Age or other big titles . I’ll be surprised if the game comes out fall 2014 .
Well it was supposed to launch during the fall of 2014. Game companies won’t try to hype their games by saying they are releasing earlier than they actually are. People will only be dissapointed because it got delayed.
Idk what’s with them, they delayed the first release by almost half a year, then they delayed the heists to spring and now it’s basically fall already.
it’s coming this year, buddy. don’t worry. PC version was supposed to be out late last year, but the new gen consoles got in the way and greedy rockstar decided to hold it back to make the PS4/XB1 ports and release all three simultaneously as the definitive, “next-gen” versions. it’s all about money…

Yeah saw that earlier with the sites all jumping on the rumor that it might be cancelled on PC, only problem is Rockstar Support is kinda clueless on these things and only get told when they need to know, to them it’s still coming in fall, but top management has otherwise info.
Hope it comes this year, pre ordered my copy at a resonable price on tuesday.

They may work for for Rockstar but they know as much as we do when it comes to information, go ask them when the game will be out and they’ll all say keep checking Newswire,they follow procedure and scripts, any support team will never know what upper management knows and only do as they’re told or given, it’s a cycle, I mean if you were to email Steam Support and ask about Half Life 3 would they honestly know something that countless people have been asking for years? would it be so simple to just work as support then?

Just as well, I suppose. Autumn is stuffed full of games, anyway. Between Dragon Age and Far Cry I’m not sure where I would fit GTA in.
Oh, just a heads up – Far Cry will probably be delayed, too.

2014 was supposed to be that at some point. Then literally everything was delayed. But yeah, fingers crossed for the second half of 2015 when some games might actually come out (the ones currently announced for the first half).

I don’t care what these mofos say, Rockstar said coming this Fall. Most likely be the end of November if not then maybe early December like the GTA IV PC release date.
