AMD Promises Even Further Performance Increases On Battlefield 4

As we’ve already said, this day may be dedicated to AMD. After all, Mantle has just been released. While AMD’s latest drivers have not been unleashed, the red team promised that it will bring further performance improvements on Battlefield 4 via some new drivers and patches.

As AMD revealed, the upcoming 14.1 drivers will support all desktop GCN products. Moreover, the team is working with EA in order to further optimize performance on a variety of cards, such as the 270X and the HD 7000.

Our guess is that the driver will hit the Internet later today or tomorrow, so stay tuned for more!

  1. In order for NVIDA to steal some of AMD’s thunder lately on Mantle, they need to announce that their next line of GPUs will support Mantle. :p

    1. Yeah, Nvidia is kind of stuck in a corner right now.

With both game consoles using AMD graphics cards, all these “next-gen” game engines are going to keep coming with full support for Mantle in order to get improved framerates.

This will be an interesting thing to watch especially if the price:performance ratio stacks even higher in favor for AMD’s cards, due to Mantle, in future titles like Star Citizen and Thief.

      1. and Go Go AMD 😉 I like them a lot… They have Really Good Prize – Performance RATIO eg. I have x6 Phenom II 1100BE and HD 7970 XFX DD Ghz ED and everything is smooth as a butter !

    2. I hope Nvidia does. I think Mantle should help all PC gamers regardless of GPU manufacture. DICE said they could and I hope they’re right.

  2. DAMN!
After using Radeon cards for 7 years, I moved to Nvidia last month and now I feel like the guy who didn’t get the invitation to the biggest and hottest party!
I sold my Radeon 7950 for $200 profit….oh well, I know I am coming back to Radeon very soon once their GPU inflated prices come down.
