Since the release of Patch 2.04.00, Pearl Abyss has been releasing smaller updates/hotfixes for Crimson Desert Enhanced. Today, the team released Update 2.04.06. So, let’s take a look at all of them.
The first update fixes many problems with NPCs, pets, ships, and sea creatures. Spouses and comrades will no longer follow the player into the water. It also fixes odd combat behavior from spouses. Pirates will no longer teleport when they fall into the sea, and sea serpents will now attack the player as they should. Leviakan will also move as it should in all cases.
The update also fixes several problems with ships. Some ships could stay still, while crew members could fail to appear on board. NPCs could also get stuck in restrooms and never come back out. These issues have now been fixed. The patch also fixes quest and challenge rewards that were not given to players.
There are also fixes for the game world and its systems. Waterfalls now look as they should, and Oongka will no longer turn invisible in some cases. The game should also stop giving out too much money from management sites. Players can now start pioneering missions more easily. When they enter an area that can be explored, a new notice appears on the right side of the menu. They can then start the mission from there.
The first update also fixes some diving issues. Players can now use their lantern without losing access to some actions. It also fixes a bug that could set the player on fire and stop them from getting on a ship. AMD users with driver 26.10.1 also get a fix for some graphics errors.
Patch 2.04.03 brings more changes to quests and daily life in the game. It fixes some pioneering missions that could not be finished. The Gift system has also been improved. Players can now pick many items at once and set how many of each item they want to give. This update also fixes a bug that could return gifts instead of giving them to NPCs.
Festivals have also been adjusted. Customers will no longer take longer to visit shops during the night. Flying pets should now follow their owners as they should, and spouses will give gifts after marriage. The patch also fixes a quest issue that could stop players from checking Kliff’s unlock needs. It fixes a few other character issues, too. Characters should no longer turn see-through when switching between them, and their eyes should look clearer.
The update also fixes sound and UI bugs. Underwater sounds will no longer play in places that are not underwater, such as the title screen. The skill menu for characters who are not in use should now look right. Keyboard and mouse players will also see fewer issues with key guides that overlap during actions. The patch also fixes a bug that could make the player’s arms shake when facing an enemy.
Patch 2.04.04 is a small update, but it fixes two key bugs. Items that count as key gear could be removed and copied after players gave them to a Greymane comrade and then loaded a save or restarted the game. This issue has been fixed. The patch also stops farm animals from vanishing after they are placed at a farm. It also fixes some Gift menu text that could appear in Korean.
Patch 2.04.05 fixes several quest and crash issues. The game could crash during the fight against Ravok of the Savage Fangs. That issue has now been fixed. The patch also fixes Damiane’s quest, “End and Beginning.” It could get stuck if players finished the main story quest “Journey’s End” within a certain time.
Some witch quests could also fail to move forward when players tried to propose. This has been fixed. The patch also fixes a problem with Kliff’s quest, “Beyond the Margins.” Players can now progress without having to own a fishing rod.
Patch 2.04.06 brings more fixes for performance, quests, ships, and combat. AMD users with driver 26.10.1 should no longer see the game crash in Pailune when the Cinematic option is on. The patch also fixes frame rate drops in some areas. The team says it will keep working on other frame rate issues.
The update also fixes several problems with pioneering. Players can now finish an earlier mission after sending out two or more missions at once. Missions should also work when a ship is near an anchorage. Abyss Cressets in some ocean ruins and secret places have also been fixed. The Level 5 reward for management popularity now works for all characters.
Ships and sea travel get more fixes, too. Kite Pirates can no longer enter the Assault Ship of the East. Crew members will no longer talk too much while on board. Some diving sounds have also been fixed. The game should no longer crash when playing as Damiane and diving with Latin American Spanish selected.
The patch also fixes a range of world and item issues. Some trade goods will no longer vanish when moved from a ship to a wagon. The Camel Constellation is now in a place players can reach. Outlaw icons should also appear on the world map and mini-map. Players can now see skill details and videos right after they learn a new skill.
The Gift system gets another fix. Giving many items to an NPC will no longer send players back to the title screen. The update also fixes a bug that could destroy the Lumen Sword. If the sword was lost this way, players can now restore it. The Constellation Helm can also be used while swimming.
Other combat and travel fixes are included. Characters should no longer move to odd spots when leaving a ship or rowboat. Oongka’s Ascended Devastation skill now works with the weapons it should affect. Cannon reload sounds will no longer play many times when all cannons are fully charged. The patch also fixes missing rewards after defeating the Phantom Ship and the Drunken Catfish.
Finally, the update fixes some issues with Free Construction mode. The screen should no longer stay black when players enter this mode in certain cases. The game should also no longer crash when players go near a house they built.
As always, Steam will download this update the next time you launch its client. Below, you can also find its full changelog.
