NC has announced that its action-packed, open-world MMORPG, AION 2, will be released on Steam in 2026. To celebrate this announcement, the team has shared a new trailer for it. Moreover, it shared the game’s official PC system requirements.

AION 2 promises to offer both deep PvE and intense PvP, built on a foundation of freedom of movement and flight. The game will showcase a best-in-class flying experience packed with spectacular aerial combat and environmental traversal. AION 2 will also feature fast-paced combat that blends precision, timing, and positioning with traditional tab-targeting.

According to the press release, AION 2 will bring a varied and deep set of PvE content from solo and four-player dungeons to eight-player raids, where the core gameplay experience is about mastering the game mechanics, movement, and teamwork. AION 2 will also pack a variety of PvP activities involving high-stakes fights, from 1v1 and 4v4 arenas to massive-scale, cross-server RvR (Realm-vs-Realm) battles, and the return of the faction-based Abyss from the original AION.

AION 2 is set 200 years after the original conflict. After the destruction of the Tower of Eternity, the traditional Elyos and Asmodian factions must navigate a shattered universe while confronting the newly empowered Balaur faction. According to the devs, the game’s world will be 36 times larger than the original game with true freedom of movement.

To run it, PC gamers will at least need an AMD Ryzen 5 2600 or an Intel Core i5-10500 with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti or an AMD Radeon RX 470. NC recommends an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X or an Intel Core i7-11700 with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA RTX 2070 or an AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT.
