WEMADE MAX and MADNGINE have announced a new single-player, open-world action RPG, Project TAL. To celebrate this announcement, the teams shared a gameplay trailer that you can find below.
Sohn Myun-seok, CEO of WEMADE MAX, said:
“Project TAL combines an emotionally resonant story about healing a wounded world with the exhilarating combat of a classic action RPG. With MADNGINE’s technical expertise and artistic vision, we’re creating a AAA open-world title built to compete on a global stage.”
Project TAL aims to deliver deep immersion, strategic combat, and a rich narrative shaped by your journey. Throughout your adventure, you’ll fight alongside distinctive in-game ally characters — each with unique abilities, personalities, and combat styles.
Players will wield acrobatic maneuvers to battle massive monsters. They’ll also target weak points, and they will be able to execute counterattacks in fast-paced, skill-based encounters.
It’s also worth noting that the game will include climbing mechanics. As such, you will be able to scale colossal monsters. Every monster will have a weakness point that players can exploit. Moreover, the devs claim that the game will have intelligent NPCs capable of responding dynamically to changing battlefield conditions.
From what I’ve seen, Project TAL feels like a mix of Dragon’s Dogma 2, Sekiro, Black Myth: Wukong, and Where Winds Meet. The combat looks silky smooth and organic. It has a lot of potential.
Korean and Chinese devs have been cooking lately. Where Winds Meet will come out next month, and I can’t wait to get my hands on Crimson Desert. Then we have Code: To Jin Yong, Blood Message, and Tides of Annihilation. But wait. There are more. Beast of Reincarnation, Phantom Blade Zero, MUDANG: Two Hearts, and Black State are games you should keep an eye on. And, another game that was cool when it was first showcased in 2022 was Project GRAY.
WEMADE MAX plans to release Project TAL sometime in 2027.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

i have lost track of all the feudal asia games coming out, i guess in the future they gonna replace the medieval fantasy games due to demographics alone.
My thoughts exactly. I love Asia, but I'm already starting to have Asian fatigue, frankly.
And so many of these games look and feel the same.
One thing, though. At least, I like how these Asian games look… 100% Asian.
Since white people want so much to be replaced, I have noticed that in their games, they include more and more elements coming from foreign cultures, even in an European medieval setting.
And it's not just the simple race mixing. They even add symbols and architecture coming from other civilizations, to a point where you don't even know what you're looking at anymore. It ends up looking like a random cultural mishmash with no soul.
I mean, just look at Baldur's Gate 3.
Culturally speaking, even if you remove the LGBT stuff, I can't even relate to it. I'm not even sure what it's supposed to represent.
BG1 and 2 still felt very "medieval Europe" to me.
This is why we recently see huge mods for BG3 like "Chivalry – Expansion", that adds traditional medieval armors and stuff.
And to people telling me "well, duh, it's a FANTASY game"…
Yeah well, even fantasy games need strong cultural roots, like this one, Project TAL.
And I'm starting see these roots vanishing entirely in most Western games.
what is being done to canada is a crime both parties have indian candidates.
As for bg3, i tried playinh the first game, didnt like it, it was very lite woke for the era and bg3 looks disgusting to me. The character designs are revolting.
Personally i am sick and tried of medieval fantasy ,make fantasy worlds like morrowind instead.
Shhh…John is j3rking off to this weeb sh*t right now
This reminds me of how I felt when I first saw the God of War 3 trailer. I am worried that my RTX 3080 + RX6400 lossless scaling combo might not be able to handle this, but if I can hit 60 fps, I will be golden.
but god of war 3 never came out on computer….
and Kratos never had Tress FX and Tessellation on his bald head so you shouldn't have been worried about it…..
It was Metro 2033 and Tomb Raider 2013 that had those features at the time, for which you could be worried about.
More soulslike slop
Yeah, no. I like the original Dragon's Dogma. Cool game. But this insistence on really long, overly elaborate animations has got to end. It might work for promotional material, but in-game, that's all time I'm locked out of controlling the character, meaning your gameplay is sh*t. Give me fast, decisive combat.
Chìnk slop is all that's left for gaymers nowadays.
