SEGA and Bandai Namco have launched the Steam pages for Yakuza Kiwami 3 and Code Vein 2, which confirm the presence of Denuvo. So, to the surprise of no one, these two games will be using this anti-tamper tech.
The good news is that both of these publishers have removed Denuvo from some of their older titles. For instance, Bandai Namco has removed it from Tekken 7 and NARUTO TO BORUTO: SHINOBI STRIKER. Similarly, SEGA has removed it from Two Point Hospital, Sonic Mania, and the Shenmue 1 & 2 Collection.
However, If I had to guess, I’d say that both Bandai Namco and SEGA will not remove Denuvo from these two games. Yakuza: Like a Dragon, which came out in 2020, still has it. Similarly, the first Code Vein, which came out in 2019, also has it.
Yakuza Kiwami 3 is a remake of the third Yakuza game. YK3 will take you through the streets of Okinawa and Tokyo, with better graphics than before. The combat has been upgraded, making the fights more exciting and intense than ever. The remake will also have some new scenes that aim to add more emotion and depth to the story. At the same time, fresh side activities will let you dive even deeper into the world.
On the other hand, Code Vein 2 is an anime Souls-like game that aims to tell a deep and emotional story. It takes place in the future, where the world is falling apart, and you play as a Revenant Hunter, someone who tracks and fights powerful beings. You will travel through a world split between two different time periods. Your choices will also matter, and every battle will push your skills and courage to the limit.
Yakuza Kiwami 3 will come out on February 11th, 2026. As for Code Vein 2, it is planned for a January 30th, 2026, release.
