YouTube’s ‘Punish’ has shared a video, showcasing 19 minutes of gameplay footage from La Quimera. La Quimera is a new futuristic sci-fi shooter from former Metro: Exodus devs. So, if you are a fan of Metro, Killzone and Crysis, you should check it out.
This gameplay video is from a recent closed beta test. Since there was no NDA, players were allowed to share footage. Also, because this is from the latest version of the game, it shows how the game looks and plays right now.
La Quimera is a narrative-driven first-person shooter that will come out on April 25th. The game will be powered by Unreal Engine 4, and it will not support any Ray Tracing effects. Let’s at least hope that it will have a shader compilation step.
One of the key features of the game will be its exosuits. These exosuits will allow players to engage in intense combat. Thus, they can utilize high-tech gadgetry and superhuman strength to outwit their enemies.
Interestingly enough, Reburn has not shared the game’s PC requirements. Not only that, but La Quimera is not available for pre-order. For a game that comes out in a few days, this does not look good. Most of the time, this is a hint at a last-minute delay. So, I won’t be surprised if Reburn announces a delay in the next couple of days.

The voice acting sounds like Russians and/or Ukrainians poorly trying to sound American. It just makes the dialog sound weird. They need some more training to sound Latin American. The bad accents are just going to bug me if I play this. I would have rather they just didn't bother with the fake accents, and sounded like Russians and/or Ukrainians, as that would have been less immersion breaking.

It basically looks like just another one of those generic shooters designed with co-op in mind from the X360/PS3 generation like Borderlands, Payday, Fuse, Conflict: Denied Ops, etc.
Like, I do like shooters a lot (#1 favorite genre actually to the point of liking janky ones even), but man, this just looks SUPER generic, and just recently we saw how that ultra-generic co-op GAAS piece of crap that everyone already forgot about called Crime Boss: Rockay City turned out.
La Quimera at least looks interesting conceptually, but I don't think that alone will save it from ending up being another generic shooter.

You know why? Because it's not only actually and officially a horror game (as advertised even), and you gotta be careful; the game has multiple endings, and the game intentionally doesn't tell you what are the choices that ultimately affect the ending. Some endings are unofficially but popularly called by the community "good ending", "bad ending", "neutral ending", "worst ending" etc. etc. etc. (knowing that there are multiple endings isn't a spoiler as the Steam description for it literally says that the choices that you made will affect the ending), and I would personally say that all of them minus the good ending are actually bad endings, because some of the most fucked up shit I've ever seen in any game happens in all of them minus the good ending.
POV: I'm a post-trauma survivor, I've played a wide, wide range of horror games such as Doom 3, F.E.A.R., Resident Evil, Silent Hill, etc. and literally none of them could even scratch what this game did, even in events that are far prior to these endings, and I'm just so glad that I played this game when I already got past trauma years prior to playing it. I've seen so many others who just couldn't even handle continuing it because of what's in it, and the comments in these threads only encourage the OP to stop playing it if they couldn't handle what's even in early in the game.
Luckily, I'm an empathic and smart person so I guessed how to get the good ending on my very first playthrough (it's still so extremely unsettling even when you are on your way to get the good ending nonetheless).

Yes, Garry's Mod is awesome, and it especially comes in handy for people like me who are just so busy nowadays (because I actually have a life unlike that laughing stock that calls itself dagoat), don't want to focus too much on the story of a game to understand it, and could just play it for short sessions to have fun and relax with it whenever you want without the need to keep continuing it to beat it if you know how to have fun with it in your own way; like messing around with the physics, or better yet, having multiple gameplays and having all the characters that you like all in a single game 👌🏻
Plus, it's literally the very first game that I ever bought on my Steam account shortly after I built my first gaming PC in 2016.

Having never played a Killzone game before, I did recently gave the laughably short demo of Killzone 2 a try on my custom Linux 6.15 kernel via RPCS3.
With the resolution set to 1440p it still looks surprisingly good for a PS3 game, however the gameplay itself wasn't too special, apart from the nice ragdoll physics.
Probably will need to play through the whole game once time allows in order to give a proper judgement.
I suspect if Killzone came out today(updated graphics), People would HATE it. Linear , "slow", no LMNOP+. We've become accustomed to CoD speed and mechanics. I preferred Resistance over KZ but id take any linear story FPS(non-woke of course) at this point.

And you seem to be a new member who just recently started visiting DSOGaming, one of the last hubs for real gaming news and not some fake propaganda-preaching cancer sites like (((IGN, EuroGaymer, PCGaymer, Video Gayme Chronicles, etc.))) disguising as "gAmInG" sites where they literally publish articles pushing agendas and then immediately locking the comment section (they did all of that repeatedly and countless times already by now, it's a classic move by them at this point).

Yep! There's just something "magical" about janky Eastern European shooters that somehow make them so appealing despite being janky. The 2000s were filled with them, I literally was downloading a couple of them just yesterday, and I'm not even talking about games like the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. trilogy which are regarded as being great games actually despite being buggy.
This gives some hot crysis vibes for sure but I just can't get over that slow a$$ reload mechanic. It's the most important aspect of an fps and they managed to make it look weak and annoying in the middleof a fight. Reloads should be powerful enough to give you rage.
