NVIDIA has just released a new hotfix driver for its graphics cards. According to the release notes, the NVIDIA GeForce Hotfix 576.15 driver fixes a GPU temperature issue that was introduced with the previous driver. It also fixes numerous issues with the RTX-50 series GPUs.
Going into more details, GPU monitoring utilities will no longer stop reporting the GPU temperature after your PC wakes from sleep. This was a major issue that plagued the previous 572.06 driver. So now, it will be safe to use this hotfix driver.
Moreover, the driver fixes some shadow flicker/corruption issues in some games on the NVIDIA RTX-50 series GPUs. It also fixes some while crashes that could occur on the NVIDIA RTX-50 series GPUs while compiling shaders in some games. Plus, it fixes an issue that could cause the idle GPU clock speeds to be lower.
It’s also worth noting that SteamVR will no longer display random V-SYNC micro-stutters when using multiple displays. Moreover, owners of a GeForce RTX 50 series notebook will no longer receive a black screen when they resume from Modern Standby.
As you can see, apart from the GPU temp issue, this hotfix driver focuses on the NVIDIA RTX 50 series GPUs. So, if you don’t own one, you can safely skip it. As they say, if it ain’t broken, don’t try to fix it. If, on the other hand, you want to have the latest driver, this is the one you should get.
You can go ahead and download this hotfix driver from this link. Below, you can also find its complete changelog.
