TW3-inspired UE5-1

Here’s what The Witcher 3 and Call of Duty could look like in Unreal Engine 5

YouTube’s ‘CGtall_com’ has shared two videos, showcasing what The Witcher 3 and Call of Duty could look like in Unreal Engine 5. These videos may give you an idea of what the remakes of these games could look like in Epic’s engine. So, go ahead and take a look.

The first video shows off some WW2 environments. As we all know, the original Call of Duty games were set in WW2. As such, a modern-day remake of them could have easily looked like that.

The second video showcases a forest area that immediately reminded me of The Witcher 3. In case you cannot see the resemblance, here are some screenshots.

The first two are from TW3, whereas the other two are from the video. They definitely look identical.

Now from what I know, Activision has no plans to remake Call of Duty. Not only that but even if the next COD game is set in WW2, the dev teams behind it will be still using the IW Engine.

On the other hand, CD Projekt RED has switched to Unreal Engine 5 for The Witcher 4. Therefore, it will be interesting to see whether TW4 will be able to match the graphics showcased in this video.

If you’re into Unreal Engine 5, you’ve got to check out these other awesome fan video remakes. Here are some faithful remasters of Dark Souls and Dark Souls 3, which are super cool. Then there’s this fantastic fan remake of STALKER that’s worth a look. Oh, and don’t miss the Grand Theft Auto 6 fan concept in UE5; it’s pretty impressive. We also have a fan remaster of Unreal Gold in UE5. You should also watch the full-on remake video for Final Fantasy 9.

Need for Speed Most WantedNeed for Speed Carbon and Tony Hawk’s Underground have also received some cool remakes. And if that’s not enough, there are fan remakes for Death StrandingFallout 4The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’s SolitudeGrand Theft Auto 4Fallout 4, Silent Hill 4: The Room, Resident Evil 1Skyrim’s Winterhold and Skyrim’s Whiterun. There is also this Studio Ghibli stylized teaser for Zelda: Ocarina of Time in Unreal Engine 5. So, lots of UE5 fan remakes, right? Well, since they’re all really cool, we suggest giving them a watch.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

  1. At this point, I’m reaching to this conclusion that Epic really pays John to keep talking about trashy UE5.
John, it’s just an effing engine, and not even a good one. Gaming industry is much more than that.

    1. “your mom” classic zoomer humour. hey zoomie. Are you aware that John can see article views and you, by opening this page added yet another view and effectively reassured him that UE articles are generating views. congratz to you and your choir of of UE whiners

      1. I’m glad I was able to give you the opportunity to be John’s advocate, which will probably earn you a few points so that you can touch each other’s penises.

  2. If you’re wondering why it looks bad. The farther away mountains are, the more they tend to fade away due to increasing layers of atmospheric conditions you have to look through.

So if you render far away mountains with razor sharp edges and saturated colors, it looks completely wrong.

The problem with Unreal is that any moron has access to it. Like I have said before. At least step outside for 5 minutes before changing or messing with a game’s graphics. If you’re clueless about the world around you, don’t touch games.

  3. Wow, reaching new lows are we? Not only is this another gay “X in Unreal 5” article, the videos you linked don’t even have anything to do with the games mentioned, they’re literally just showcases that apparently “remind you” of those games. What a waste of bandwidth, why can’t you just stick to the news?

    1. This site would be so much more popular if he stuck with game announcements and releases, instead of mods and benchmarks no on uses.

Thaumaturge has a new gameplay video out today.

Nope, let’s talk about an obscure potential mod and spam some Unreal engine stuff no one cares about. How to shoot your own site in the foot.

  4. these are just environments
can be RDR2, Witcher 3, Plague tale, Battlefield, Post Scriptum anything ….
