YouTube’s ‘Leo Torres’ has shared a video, showcasing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’s Blackreach in Unreal Engine 5. The artist has recreated this area at a more realistic and lore-accurate scale. So, go ahead and take a look at it.
For those unaware, Blackreach is this huge cave system in Skyrim that goes under a big part of the game. The artist remade it using a modern engine to give us an idea of what it would look like in a remaster or remake of Skyrim. It also shows you a more realistic size of the place. And get this – it’s got sixteen times more detail than the original.
The artist had a bit of a challenge lighting up this environment. Blackreach is mostly lit by things like glowing fungi, aetherium veins, and glow-worms. But guess what? Torres used UE5’s Lumen to make it all look awesome and give us the cool results you’re about to see.
Sadly, this map is not available for download. So no, you can’t experience it on your PC systems. This recreation serves as a portfolio.
Blackreach isn’t the first area that Torres has recreated in Unreal Engine 5. The artist has also remade Whiterun, Solitude and Winterhold. So, be sure to also check them out as they look amazing.
If you’re into Unreal Engine 5, you’ve got to check out these other awesome fan video remakes. There are faithful remasters of Dark Souls and Dark Souls 3, which are super cool. There is also this Studio Ghibli stylized teaser for Zelda: Ocarina of Time in Unreal Engine 5. So, lots of UE5 fan remakes, right? Well, since they’re all really cool, we suggest giving them a watch.
