A group of modders just dropped the very first Community Patch for Starfield. It’s here to help fix all those bugs, errors, and weird stuff that are still in the game. This unofficial patch works like a charm and sorts out a bunch of issues that are still affecting the game. So, we really suggest grabbing it and giving it a go.
The Starfield Community Patch is here to fix numerous issues. It’s going to fix things like objects in the wrong places, script mistakes, and items that don’t quite add up. Plus, it’ll sort out missions that don’t work, exploits that break the game, and even fix spelling mistakes and missing stuff.
You can download this unofficial patch from this link. At the end of the article, you will also find its complete changelog.
Speaking of Starfield, we also suggest taking a look at these mods for it. Yesterday, we shared this mod that implemented physics collisions to all dead bodies. Earlier last month, we also shared the Disk Cache Enabler Mod which aims to reduce the game’s disk usage. Then we have this mod that solves the game’s elevated black levels/washed-out graphics. You can also use this guide in order to increase your FOV. Let’s also not forget the DLSS 2/XeSS and the DLSS 3 Frame Generation mods. Those who also want to improve the game’s graphics can either use Starfield HD Overhaul or Starfield HD Reworked.
Sprinting Stuttering Fix is another cool mod that stops the annoying stutters when you run. Then, you can grab this mod that makes the game run smoother by fixing a bunch of scripts. And don’t forget these two must-have mods that make the game look and feel better with a new User Interface and cooler Particle Effects. On the other hand, this mod lets you travel between planets in real-time. Oh, and let’s not forget this mod that brings a dynamic weather system into the game, as well as this mod that aims to improve the behavior of NPCs.

surprised modders even bothered. this game is gawd awful
The modding community will have this game looking and playing better than Squadron 42 in half the time it takes for the latter to release. So in 5 years.
Bet.
I’ll wait for Bethesda to actively stop updating the game, first, or a mod like this will cause too many file conflicts and issues.
wait for 2 more years
Happy to.
They need to start first!
Lol, where are the f*cking patches?
You’re not wrong.
I bought it on release date but I am waiting for the DLSS patch before I start playing.
Then, why did you buy it on release? To support Bethesda?
I shouldn’t have said bought – I didn’t think anyone would ask me to elaborate 😆 I got it free with my AMD CPU. Waiting for the DLSS patch.
At least they had the decency to not name it the Unofficial Starfield Patch following their not so subtle move to sideline Arthmoor from the project.
Dramas here dramas there dramas everywhere
Keep in mind this Community Patch has no affiliation with the Unofficial Patches we have for previous Bethesda games, still waiting on tools to properly to release that one.
Use Community Patch at your own risk, since neither xEdit not Creation Kit have been updated for Starfield yet.
xEdit has a experimental build, but is still not supported nor recommended to create MODs with it yet.
Plus for a patch that claims not to make Balance changes I suggest you all read the changelog, cause the patch does make Balance changes.
I appreciate your free labor, yet regrettably, I have no intention of playing it.
Starfield is one of the biggest gaming disappointments ever.
The biggest thing it needs is a fix for the weapon swap slowdown/stutter which is very noticeable and I think there’s a mod for it now. I believe once you make a weapon you like on the bench it has more info attached to it and then if you do that for all the weapons in your quick select wheel and use it in game you get a very noticeable weapon change stutter. Without the mod I think you could just have one or two weapons in your quick select and stick with those but who wants to do that when there are hundreds of weapons and then add on the different variations it’s astounding. I’m still on v1 since I’m not sure about the scene updates and there’s been no game breaking bugs, there are typical bethesda bugs but the console can fix all that. I had about 150hrs in before I got back into cp77 and the modding is the biggest draw after going through the new samey content that is “free” at 30$ (in cpDurs parlance, strange people no doubt).
I get the cpDUR and other paid shills all over, AI bots and such but are there really always these pinheads who make it their mission in life to b*tch on every post about SF? These are usually the same ones whom will praise some in dev for 15 years turds which will never come out, like those Virgin Galactic scammers, or try to say that Cpdur/77 is “redeemed” and all different better now, you idiots are the main reason gaming is as it is today, largely just scammers, bait and switch etc It’s like mentally handicapped torrets or something or it’s some guerilla AI campaign by say cpDUR.
