Modder ‘Nukem’ has released the best DLSS 3 Mod for Bethesda’s latest RPG, Starfield. This mod adds proper in-game settings/options, allowing players to adjust both DLSS 3 Super Resolution and DLSS 3 Frame Generation while playing the game.
For those unaware, PureDark’s DLSS 3 Mod adds to the game Reshade and breaks compatibility with the SpecialK Mod. It’s also a paid mod so most of you won’t really bother with it. On the other hand, the free DLSS 3 Mod from LukeFZ only allows you to change settings via a TXT file. This basically means that in order to make any changes to DLSS 3, you’ll have to quit the game, make the changes, and then re-launch Starfield.
With this latest DLSS 3 Mod, however, you can easily make changes to DLSS 3 while playing the game. Below you can find the new graphics settings.
As we can see, PC gamers can even make changes to the Upscaling Mip Bias, the Model Preset of DLSS, and its Sharpening Method. Seriously, this is the most advanced DLSS 3 menu we’ve ever seen. So, kudos to the modder for including all these options.
You can download this latest DLSS 3 Mod for Starfield from here.
Speaking of Starfield, we also suggest taking a look at these other mods for it. This mod solves the game’s elevated black levels/washed-out graphics, and we highly recommend using it. You can also use this guide in order to increase your FOV. And let’s not forget the DLSS 2/XeSS and DLSS 3 Frame Generation mods. Sprinting Stuttering Fix is another interesting mod that addresses some stuttering issues that could occur in Starfield while running. And then we have these two must-have mods that overhaul the game’s User Interface and Particle Effects. Yesterday, we also shared an incredible Star Wars Mandalorian Mod. And lastly, you can download these highly detailed 8K and 4K Texture Packs.
Enjoy!

Wow!
And Bethesda couldn’t assign one of their devs to do it for release.👍🏻
amd sponsorship ruined this game !
I like how the modder implemented the option to use different DLSS models. This is something that games with official DLSS support should really add.
Do you really think 99% of the gamers will really put the efford to educate themselves about DLSS models?
What kind of a stupid question is this? To flip this around, do you really think 99% of the gamers will really put the effort to educate themselves on what DLSS is? On what anisotropic filtering is? On what ambient occlusion is? On what sharpening is? On what anti-aliasing is? Do you really even think 99% of gamers even fiddle with any settings in the first place?
Where the fudge did you come up with the arbitrary threshold of 99% users for a setting to be valid anyway? It takes little to no time to implement such a setting, and more options is always better. What are you, some kind of dim-witted console peasant?
This is why developers put levels on the other settings you mentioned. Low -> Med -> High -> Ultra. Because gamers don’t know them in the majority, but they understand “oh my games runs poorly, let’s go from Ultra to High”.
What levels should they put on DLSS models? They can’t, because models is are just different with each other and not bad->good->best. This is why they don’t make sense to exist on the game menu, they will just confuse people.
Newsflash; there are a ton of other settings that are left outside of the game menus exactly for this reason. Settings like these usually end up in a config file, for the 1% of the gamers that really want to mess around with them.
The word you’re looking for is “agonizing”
The way it is obviously Triggering him I think Antagonizing is the apt description ….. It still amazes me how something like a game Triggers some people, I just can’t imagine going through life with that chip on my shoulder dragging me down
This requires some script mod too but it’s nice that modders add this functionality especially donation based. It’s too bad AMD has to set these terms for their money and support, I doubt bethesda just forgot about dlss. Only difference I noticed w the dlss2 mod was less far distance flikering at times, which is rare, no fps benefit over FSR2. The luts removed a lot of the muddiness for a clearer image.
The reason there was no increase in fps is because mods don’t necessarily implement things the way they should be. The mods were mainly to make things look better when upscaled.
Frame gen works though on the 4000 series with the mods.
I can’t believe they seriously do not touch mipmap bias when upscaling. This makes the textures look terrible if you don’t adjust it to the output resolution. Seriously, Bethesda?
do we need this mod with dlss ?
You can change that in the Nvidia profile inspector. There’s s mipmap value for each quality setting. Starfield though, doesn’t have settings but a percentage slider. 66% is quality and 50% is performance
Great to see these DLSS mods. Bethesda is going to officially add it at some point but that won’t help people playing right now.
This is very nice indeed. I love RTX GPU features. Starfield could use some ray tracing now.
DLSS frame gen rocks. It’s a nice feature to have.
DLSS quality is a better AA solution than most AA implementations. And you don’t lose fidelity.
can any one send me the full folder of the mod just copy past thanks in advance 🙂
yes i can
PSA: This mod doesn’t support the Gamepass version of the game in its current state.
Ugh of course.. thanks for confirming this as I was about to renew my gamepass but guess I’ll just grab fitgirl’s repack and deal with hunting down patches on that russian game forum..
Russian website = Big Brother Vlad and his GRU friends are watching you …… You are probably already compromised and don’t even know it
Bethesda will probably add DLSS soon, better not to install these things yet.
75% FSR at 4K looks good enough for me, so I can wait for the official release of DLSS. While I think with DLSS I will be able to go to 67% and still have the same results as 75% FSR, the difference it too small to bother.
But for gamers that need the extra performance, DLSS is very wellcomed to help them to gain a few extra fps
the game or dlss?
Bethesda, as usual, relying on their internet forum devs to fix their mess.
I’ll go back to this cr4p in some 4 months to see if they got some decency and put at least a brightness slider to it, OFFICIALLY!

I can only use maybe 4 mods that wont crash my game, Real Flashlight, IconSortingTags, Cleanfield, and StarUI Inventory.
Disabling XMP also stopped the BSOD/hard PC resets. Experienced 2 with 16 hours of play time. 13700k/3080Ti
If you have to disable XMP then there is something wrong with the game’s code and how it’s transferring memory ….. Although I haven’t gotten my hands on the game (and likely won’t anytime soon) I suspect the performance limitations are some sort of memory bottleneck and making XMP unstable further validates my suspicions
