Witchfire gets an official gameplay overview trailer

The Astronauts has released the official gameplay overview trailer for Witchfire. This trailer dives deep into the gameplay systems of this new first-person shooter.

Witchfire is a dark fantasy roguelite shooter that is powered by Unreal Engine 4. The game also takes advantage of photogrammetry, and it supports NVIDIA DLSS 3 at its Early Access launch.

The Astronauts claims that Witchfire is a roguelite for people who hate roguelites. Since I’m one of them, I’m curious to see whether this new shooter will spark my interest. According to the developers, the game offers a challenging but satisfying gameplay experience, and with multiple roads to victory.

Armed with powerful spells and fearsome firearms conjured by the best Vatican sorcerers, your mission is to find the infamous witch of the Black Sea, destroy the phantom army that protects her, and retrieve a mysterious artifact that can finally turn the tide of war.

Since The Astronauts has provided us with a review code, we’ll be sharing our initial 4K and 8K performance impressions. We’ll be only focusing on these resolutions and on DLSS 3 (as the game is in Early Access). When Witchfire fully releases, we’ll publish a more “traditional” PC Performance Analysis.

Enjoy!
