NVIDIA GeForce 531.41 WHQL Driver available for download

NVIDIA has released a brand new driver for its graphics cards. According to the release notes, the NVIDIA GeForce 531.41 WHQL driver provides the best day-0 gaming experience for Diablo 4’s Open Beta, The Last of Us Part I, Resident Evil 4 Remake and Cyberpunk 2077’s Ray Tracing: Overdrive Mode.

Moreover, this new driver disables Resizable Bar for Horizon Zero Dawn on Intel platforms (for better performance). It also resolves some rainbow-like artifacts in Forza Horizon 5.

    1. I’m no expert when it comes to Windows related stuff, however Google tells me the following:

      But what is DPC latency? DPC stands for Deferred Procedure Call. In its purest form, it is the part of your Windows system that handles driver efficiency. If a driver takes longer than usual to process, it may prevent other drivers from being processed in time (latency).

      Thus, the increased latency could be either the fault of nVidia or that of Windows, too.

      To put this into perspective:

      NVidia’s driver uses the same shared codebase between both Windows & Linux, yet no such latency problems are being reported for Linux.
