Metal Gear Solid Fan Remake Unreal Engine 5

Take a look at this Metal Gear Solid Fan Remake in Unreal Engine 5

YouTube’s ‘JacktheLightning’ has shared a cool video, showcasing Metal Gear Solid being recreated in Unreal Engine 5. For this fan remake concept video, JacktheLightning and BrokenK4ppa have recreated the iconic heliport scene.

In case you don’t remember, this is the scene where Solid Snake gets to see for the first time Liquid Snake while he flies an Hind-D. And, to be honest, it looks kind of cool. It’s also a nice touch to use the original music and voice lines.

Now while this remake retains the art style of the original game. In order to enhance the lighting, JacktheLightning and BrokenK4ppa have also used Unreal Engine 5’s Lumen. However, the 3D model of Solid Snake is a bit disappointing. Don’t get me wrong, for a fan project it’s good. However, I’ve seen better custom 3D models for Snake.

Anyway, speaking of Unreal Engine 5, we suggest downloading these other fan remakes. For instance, you can download a Superman UE5 Demo, a Halo 3: ODST Remake, and a Spider-Man UE 5 Demo. There is also a fan remake of Halo: Combat Evolved’s “Halo” level. And then we have The Lord of the Rings: Conquest Reimagined in Unreal Engine 5 and The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time in Unreal Engine 5.

Enjoy!

  1. Another useless Unreal Engine remake article, just to fill the daily quote on this website. Seriously, this Unreal Engine fetish needs to stop.

No one cares about these so-called crap UE remakes. This one looks horrible.

    1. I’ve been b*tching about it for a long time now. I’ve even pasted some interesting news that no one is really talking about. I don’t know why a need is felt to go down this road. Fake Frames , Unreal Engine & content updates are all that’s on the menu. Anyways, good to see you Metal. Rock on Ma’ Brother ?

  2. There is almost nothing special about fcking UE5 aside from lunen and nanite, so all of these remakes are literally useless waste of space and time because they’re always too small in scope to demonstrate those, and lazily through together by useless hacks. Top tier journalism
