Last month, we shared a video that showcased ARK: Survival Evolved’s Island map in Unreal Engine 5.1. Created by Greg Coulthard, this map looked really faithful to the original version. And last week, the artist released three new videos, showcasing other areas of the Island, as well as Cave of The Hunter.
These videos will give you a glimpse at what a remaster of this game could look like in Epic’s latest engine. And, to be honest, I really like what I see here.
Let’s also not forget that this is coming from a single artist. Now imagine if a whole studio attempted to remaster the game in Unreal Engine 5.1.
Anyway, speaking of Unreal Engine 5, we suggest downloading these other fan remakes. For instance, you can download a Superman UE5 Demo, a Halo 3: ODST Remake, and a Spider-Man UE 5 Demo. There is also a fan remake of Halo: Combat Evolved’s “Halo” level. And then we have The Lord of the Rings: Conquest Reimagined in Unreal Engine 5 and The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time in Unreal Engine 5.
Enjoy!

These videos just make me want to never play an UE 5 game… Good lighting, but everything else looks horrible… The original game looks better.
Are you ok? This is some fan made garbage. If you want to see what a UE5 game looks like, see STALKER 2 trailers.
Haha, yes. This made me laugh so hard. The first comment I see. ??? Thanks man, I even imagine what your tone would be like.
Original game was trash and trash programming at that. Coding was so horrible the game never ran properly even on the best hardware.
To see this game get traction is a joke. Still it’s been around for so long and truly performs like a alpha at that!
ARK needed to die off years ago and just put itself to rest. Especially with fan made garbage at that.
Just like the original did/does…
As if ARK wasn’t already a badly optimised mess that takes up far too much drive space as it is. Granted it plays better than it did initially but you can still almost half the space by using windows compression and they continue to add events and features no one asks for adding to the bloat.
You let me know when the game leaves early access and I’ll pay attention
