  1. 6gb space?? Thats definitely a typo. Right?

Edit: steam does say 50gb space. What’re ya feeding the teams John. Lol

  2. Ah yes, a 1070, that’s slower than a V56 (and definetly closer to an RX 590 or 5500 XT 8 GB nowadays), but they recommand a 5700 non XT as an equivalent. Classic.

    1. Agreed, it makes no sense. The 5700 wallops the 1070 (nearly 29% faster on average at 1080p) so either the guy writing the requirements is smoking crack, these specs are placeholders or there is something seriously wrong with the game’s code. The recommended might make sense if it’s with hardware ray tracing enabled as the RX 6000 series’ RT capabilities isn’t as good, but if not, it’s equally nonsensical as the min specs (6700 XT is roughly 40% faster than the 2070).

        1. It has more to do with dx12 tier support then anything. Well that and memory.

16 gigs isn’t allot simply because of DLSS, number of frame calls being made and I assume it’s going to have ray tracing.

Since it’s coming to console when its of on AMD hardware they will probably use that crazy optimized (but not as good) RT unless it detects RDNA3 anyways.

nVidia will get a high quality RT along with RDNA3 I assume. I’d imagine recommended could do 1080p60 with RT on that AMD hardware.

Remember they consider the best experience on the lowest possible hardware that can get it and it’s based around 1080p30 or 60 unless they say otherwise.

Although they might be moving to 1440p soon… It’s all based on the steam hardware survey mixed with what consoles can do then high end just adds more pretty or resolution. Depends on the dev.

I would expect ea too look to impress with this one. Not only because of the Callisto Protocol but because they always want to reboot this series and they are generating interest just like Capcom did… Remake

This is more than a remaster

  3. RE engine games has more fidelity is less demanding and this , how ?
We are seeing the magic of Frostbite engine again where its getting pushed for which its not made for !

    1. How do you know? Have you played this dead space? It looks pretty damn high fidelity to me. The lighting engine is gorgeous and the changes to enemies also means more complex physics… Probably going to be different, more different than people think

I can’t wait for Calistoga either. Both are gonna be fantastic I just hope the Callisto team is the right team and makes a game that runs as good as it looks.

That’s one big benefit ea has… The money to really really polish this. They could also poo it out but I really hope they don’t.

  4. Callisto Protocol is the one I’m looking forward to. This Dead Space remake just screams cash grab. It’s an imitation of a far superior game. You can have the best graphics in the world for all I care but something just gets lost in these remakes/ remasters.

  5. Gonna guess that’s probably 1080p60 or 144030 using DLSS. If it uses RT that will mean 4k60 will probably need 8 cores and a 3070 DLSS balanced..

Of course it could be well optimized so it’s a tough call. I know I’ll use nvinspector and see if rebar is enabled and if not I’ll force it on and hope for the same boost I got from Spiderman. It’s let me lock in 4k120 DLSS Quality, RT high, everything else maxed except hair on medium.

Not bad though recommended wise though.
