NFS insider, ynk, has leaked the map, User Interface and some low-quality screenshots from Criterion’s upcoming Need for Speed game. Be warned that these first low-quality screenshots are blurry as hell, so don’t expect much from them.
The only interesting part of this leak is the map. This should at least give you an idea of the game’s world size. Other than that, though, there is nothing noteworthy here. The screenshots are of really low quality, and the following video is as blurry as it can get.
From what we know, Need for Speed 2022 will be using the Frostbite Engine and might have some anime elements. The game will take place in a fictionalized Chicago, named Lake Shore City.
Electronic Arts plans to release Criterion’s Need for Speed later this year. According to some reports, this new NFS game may only come out on current-gen platforms (PS5, Xbox Series S|X and PC). To be honest, though, this doesn’t make a lot of sense (business-wise). So yeah, I don’t buy this current-gen only rumor.
Anyway, enjoy these low quality screenshots and stay tuned for more!

seems like they try to give nfs 2012 another go, same people as well.
” and might have some anime elements”
ok, go on….
dam i really wish the would do 2012 again becuase the recent NFS games were total S****t well the driving mechanics
and 2012 wasnt? I couldnt even turn in that game.
bro 2012 had better driving than the newer NFS, these new games feel like you arent going anywhere when you press on the gas, and what’s up with that damn burn out the cars does every time you accelerate, the only good thing i see in the new games is hw they look and how much you can customize, i do give them credit for that
i couldnt turn or brake in 2012, like burnout it was designed with drift brake turning.
The same screenshoot was leaked with NFS Most Wanted, later on with NFS Heat.
Remake underground.
no need there is a graphics mod
I wish they would just go back to plain racing. How much better these games would be if the cars handled like actual cars or everything didnt rubberband around the player. I feel these past few years its been all production value and gimmicks instead of building a fun racing game.
For fun race there’s already both Forza games. And for a decent driving experience, well, there’s a lot of simulators, like AC and ACC, iRacing, rFactor, Project Cars, etc.
NFS is just useless and shouldn’t even exist anymore.
Falcon BMS 4.36 has just released its trailer for the over 20 year old game. The 4.36 version is inbound.

That map looks almost exactly the same as the last need for speed.
wow, it almost looks like GTA V, after 9 years.
So they are back at it churning another crappy game for wannabe boy racers…lmao.
I can already hear the wahman screaming hints and words of wisdom while one “race” through the map.
did they try to copy a fh 5 ? seems they did it try it
