Sony calls God of War on PC a success

Last month, we reported on God of War surpassing one million copies on PC. And yesterday, Sony itself called God of War on PC a success.

As Sony stated:

“We view the deployment of our game IP on multiple platforms as a major growth opportunity for Sony, as has been evidenced by the success of the PC versions of God of War and other first party games.”

So there you have it. God of War on PC was a commercial success. And although Sony did not reveal any additional details, we are certain that this game will surpass the success of Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gone.

The next Playstation game that will be coming to PC is Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection. Although there isn’t any release date yet, the compilation will be coming on both Epic Games Store and Steam.

  1. Now bring the rest of them to PC and make a note that you need a controller to play them.
The other games are less Boyy and more eradicate them while you solve a puzzle.
I’m tired of emulating them and Gow 3 and Ascension still don’t run with 60fps on the latest hardware.
I finished Gow 3 remastered but Ascension doesn’t have a remaster, runs like crap on ps3.

      1. Finally??!?!?!
        Really?!
This is the thing you’ll ALWAYS see people whining about when it comes to Sony ports to PC.

  2. Of course it would be. Same as all good games will!
Keep doing awesome pc versions and the money will flow. Start with Denuvo and such crap and you are doomed!
So far Sony is doing everything right with the ports – keep it that way!

  3. Ms is getting in on the huge PC games market. Sony is getting in on the huge PC games market. Nintendo is the last hold-out. Maybe they never will but there was a time when I thought that MS would never port Halo games to PC because of console exclusives too. They even put the Halo MCC on Steam. Great times for PC gamers.

    1. The best time to be a PC gamer, but also the WORST. Finally, we can play and get anything we want… gaming wise.

Video cards wise? Nah, been waiting for 2 years and there is simply nothing in my country. Counting to 3 years now. PC gaming is 100 % the best platform to own, having the best visuals and highest Hz/fps gaming… if only we can actually buy a computer.

P.s. Nintendo is the last hold out sure, but at least their games are easy to emulate ;p Who knows? They might see how many users we got on the PC, and want to test our platform with 1 or 2 games. Wishful thinking, but also not too crazy. If Sony did it, this might not be the most impossible thing ever.

If the Denuvo and Graphics cards problems were fixed, PC gaming would be the best thing EVER.

      1. Good point. I’m hoping mining will stay depressed long enough to put pressure on retailers to reduce prices on cards and increase availability everywhere. Here in the USA availability iis ok and prices have dropped some but they are still mostly 2.5 times MSRP.

        1. Yeah, just now i start seeing video cards here. Literally yesterday, which is 11 days after you reply to me and years after the 30 series is out. Prices are insane tho. 3-5K for a 3080. Not even the ti. Hot pancakes cheesus.

  4. Well, I call it a success as well.
But damn, such a worderful world with such a mediocre story.
In the hands of someone with real talent, this would have been an epic game.

    1. I mean they probably planned to make it a full game then realized they could just repeat all the enemies over and over and make it into two different games. Stuff fun because of all the puzzles and how competent the level designers were but it’s pure dopamine manipulation. There should have been way better bosses. And better enemies.

    1. That would be amazing. That and Spiderman. Speaking of Spiderman, we always used to get those games… so it would be a return to home kind of thing.

  5. This Uncharted collection is the original trilogy? Oh i heard collection and tought it was the old ones, silly me. I hate that they just neglect their ps3 library.

  6. It’s a game that released with a lot of bugs and still has a few, still has a lot of stutter and the graphics are not that great for the required hardware/usage. The art and animation are top notch. Sony is releasing all this because it can get full price for a 2018 game in the largest sized market for gaming there is: PC. Already made a ton of profit from the console exclusive may as well rerelease it years later and make another mint. It’s kind of weird to have a superhero god of war character who slaughters with impunity in a buddy father/son drama though, cringey tbh

    1. We suspect he never went into a proper school as he was too special even for special schools. This is the result of severe inbreeding. His parents were brother and sister. So that is the result.

  7. I couldn’t care less about old Sony exclusives. They’re boring games.

Nintendo has the good exclusives, not Sony.

  8. Just my 2 cents having lived in this world for quite a few decades.

You can catch a lot more flies with honey than you can catch with vinegar.

What that means is that when you try to convince people to come to your understanding you can’t lead with insults. That just turns people off to even listen to what you have to say.

  9. All who hope for PS3 games come to PC, they wont because that actually needs much more work. Anything from PS4-PS5 is possible. Don’t know if they have balls to import Spiderman Sony fanboys would implode to nothing if that happens.

  10. I REALLY hope Sony brings GOW Ragnarock to PC too ….. it would be really weird if they didn’t! Gory Balrog has declared that the next chapter concludes the Norse story of Kratos … so it would be really absurd for PC players to remain halfway through the story!
