STALKER 2 new screenshots-1

Unreal Engine 5-powered S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 looks incredible in these new screenshots

GSC GameWorld has released five brand new screenshots from S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl. These screenshots showcase the image quality that the team has been able to achieve with Unreal Engine 5.

These new screenshots look absolutely incredible, and feel more like bullshots. Since the game targets current-gen consoles, it can look this good. Nevertheless, they appear too good to be true.

STALKER 2 aims to feature an epic, non-linear story. Furthermore, your choices will influence both short-term consequences and global outcomes. The game will take place inside the Chernobyl exclusion zone, and it will have new locations along with the old ones.

GSC GameWorld has confirmed that it will be using motion-capture for both bodies and faces, as well as photogrammetry. Additionally, the game will support mods at launch day, and will support Ray Tracing effects.

STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl releases on April 28th, 2022, and will be using Unreal Engine 5. You can also find here its official PC system requirements.

Enjoy!

    1. They are the ones that got inspirations from STALKER. Actually the CEO of 4A is the one that helped the first STALKER to be shipped.

      1. damn, was gonna say that the pipes look kinda meh in these screenshots, but after seeing this, everything looks amazing.

  1. Ok, it LOOKS great… But remember, it’s only LOOKS.
Let’s see what the actual gameplay and systems are like.

  2. fml finally proper script with arrows for viewing images attched to post, it only took 69 years

    1. Toyaly agree.. About damn time.Worst is that IT USED to be like this. Wtf did they do to mess it up so bad!
But here we are – FINALY!

    2. It’s a welcome improvement.

I do wish there was no animation when switching between pictures though, it makes comparing screenshots (when John posts side-by-side pics) harder.

  3. I like the atmosphere, maybe too bright for what i expect from a Stalker…looks more in line with Metro Exodus…gotta wait for some gameplay footage.

  4. Screenshots look fantastic, but, they’re screenshots…I’ll wait to see it in person before I believe it.

  5. “I doubt it would be pozzed. GSC is Ukraine”

As far as geopolitics go, Ukraine is a major hoe of US, so the threat of appeasing their masters will always be there.

    1. It’s a bit complicated, as in they have neo natze azog batallion and their politician leader are literally jewish, i’d say it’s only a matter of time.

  6. Graphically speaking looks superb, hope they can keep the atmosphere and those incredible pitch black nights in the zone. And of course the weather systems and all the rest that made the game win many awards back in the day for its atmosphere alone. The only game that could suck you into it.

  7. Played so much stalker related stuff, vanilla games, mods etc. that i don’t care that much about a sequel, not hating really.

  8. Usually these are bullshots but considering its requirement of 180 GB at least it won’t be a huge let down graphics wise
