Microsoft has released a new video for Age of Empires IV that packs 38 minutes of brand new gameplay footage. In this video, we join the team at Relic, makers of Age of Empires IV, as they showcase a match between the French and the Chinese.
Age of Empires 4 will put you at the center of epic historical battles that shaped the world. Featuring both familiar and innovative new ways to expand your empire in vast landscapes with stunning 4K visual fidelity, the game aims to bring an evolved real-time strategy game to a new generation.
The game will have 4 distinct campaigns with 35 missions that span across 500 years of history from the Dark Ages up to the Renaissance. Additionally, the game won’t have any microtransactions. Unfortunately, though, AOE4 won’t support mods at launch. Instead, Relic plans to add modding support in early 2022.
Age of Empires 4 releases on October 28th!

Looks pretty decent in a pick it up when its $10 in the future sort of way.
I played the stress test i really do prefer AOE2 overall but i’m kind of hoping the campaign is quite nice i mean in todays day and age we rarely get that

35 missions over 4 factions lol! Weak as sht. Back in the golden days of RTS, a single faction had 35 missions!

if you just want new Age of empires content, check out the “Wars of liberty” mod for Age of empires 3 (old edition)
it adds dozens of new civilizations, units, maps and whatnot

age of empires 3 DE was so pozzed infact they censored the world “Age of Colonialism” and replaced it “age of commence”
there was also deliberate uglification of women as per standard, and tons of new censorship on MP chat
and that’s vanilla in comparison with what microsoft did in the latest E3

I had high hopes for this, shame it looks sh*t.
At this point Age of Empires has devolved into a tool to sell the latest Windows version.
Because they are so bad and intrusive they need it…
The most impressive game i’ve ever seen.
Feels very uninspired.
Had it not that name, this would definitely fly under the radar.
That looks so much better, amazing what some good textures, color composition and and lighting can do to a games visuals.
Meanwhile, Age of Empires 4 looks and plays like dogsh*t, even Age of Empires 3 looks and plays better.
No where near the potenial of what it could’ve been
