Quake Remaster is now available, features enhanced models & dynamic and colored lighting

Quake fans, we have some good and some bad news for you today. The good news is that Quake Remaster is now available for download. The bad news is that, contrary to Quake 2 RTX, there are not Ray Tracing effects at all in this remaster.

According to its Windows Store page, Quake Remaster features widescreen resolution support, enhanced models, dynamic and colored lighting, anti-aliasing, and depth of field. Moreover, it packs the original, atmospheric soundtrack and theme song by Trent Reznor.

Additionally, this remaster comes with both original expansion packs: “The Scourge of Armagon” and “Dissolution of Eternity”. Not only that, but MachineGames has developed two expansions for it. These expansions are Dimension of the Past and the all-new Dimension of the Machine.

Quake Remaster also supports co-op. Players can complete the base campaign and expansions in 4-player online or local split-screen co-op. Naturally, the game also features deathmatch compete with support for 8-player (online) or 4-player (local split-screen) matches. Moreover, the game supports dedicated servers for online matchmaking and peer-to-peer support for custom matches.

Lastly, players can expand their experience with free, curated, fan-made and official mods and missions such as Quake 64, which is available to download and play now.

You can purchase Quake Remaster from Windows Store or Steam!
