CD Projekt RED claims that Cyberpunk 2077’s performance has reached a satisfying level

During a WSE Innovation Day conference, CD Projekt RED’s CEO Adam Kicinski claimed that Cyberpunk 2077’s performance has reached a satisfying level.

As Adam Kicinski claimed:

“We have reached a satisfying level in this regard (aka performance). We have also been working on improving the overall quality, which we are also quite happy about. Of course, we also removed bugs and visual glitches and we will continue to do that. Over time, we will also be introducing improvements to the general game systems that players have highlighted.”

This may explain why the team did not include any performance or optimization issues in the game’s top reported issues. My guess is that CDPR will be solely focusing now on fixing bugs and glitches. As such, don’t expect to see major refinements to Cyberpunk 2077’s gameplay or dialogue systems. CDPR states that over time it will introduce improvements to the general game systems but let’s be realistic here, this isn’t going to happen. This is just PR talk and nothing more.

What this ultimately means is that CDPR will be now focusing on the multiplayer version of Cyberpunk 2077. Given the current state of CP2077, we can safely assume that its multiplayer will target a 2022 or even 2023 release date. The team may also oversee the development of The Witcher 3 Next-Gen.

  1. There is no multiplayer version. Cdpr already informed us that the multiplayer version had been scrapped. All they have is the singleplayer and considering how much money and time they sunk into it their choices are limited. To either drop it entirely or try to make into something they can sell for years. My money on the expansions.

    1. Lmao these gullible people believing every word CDPR says for 3 years straight. MP is in development and is their main focus.

      1. No it’s not. The game barely holds it together in SINGLEPLAYER. Adding multiplayer to this game would break it even worse.

    1. On pc and next gen consoles it does run fine. I am doing my second playthrough now and getting very solid 100+ fps without rtx and 60 with everything maxed out and rtx on.

On Ps4 and Xbox one base consoles… It’s horrible. It has no business being on those consoles but I guess the install base was too big to pass on it.

        1. I am playing it with RTX on. Like I said a Solid 60 most of the time with DLSS set to balanced. Game looks dope as f*k.

        1. Nah it’s not the port. People compare it to RDR2 and stuff but forget that RDR2 is set around forests and fields mostly. Cyberpunk is set in a very detailed city. I mean it’s incredibly detailed. You can almost smell the streets.

Old get base consoles have no f*king hope. It run and will always run like sh*t on them.

          1. Yeah and that’s not scaled down enough to be able to run well on said hardware… henche trashy

  2. ” We have also been working on improving the overall quality, which we are also quite happy about.”

in other news the people who bought the game are not quite happy about any of this.

  3. No problem! In 2 years they will release an enhanced edition… After another 3…The Definitive Enhanced Director’s Cut Edition… Then will be the perfect time to play the game as intended (2025)… Hurraaay! PS : 2025 the year we can finally buy RTX 3080???

    1. yeah and new hardware will have come out to run this dumpster fire better not to mention how mods will have fixed the game.

    2. Hmmmm 2025 they will release the remastered pro game of year Pepsi Burger King Edition
New optimized texture over 13 seconds more fast

Plus you can get a NTF card of The Witch 2 if you pre order the remastered version

      /ironic mode off

    3. And in 7 years they will release the long awaited remaster that adds player reflections and walk button on PC 🙂

    4. Kinda works for every game in the genre these days. They all have rough starts, but they’re all so good it’s absolutely worth the wait. Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Wasteland 3 come to mind with this, although I don’t think CP2077 is quite on par with these.

  4. “CDPR states that over time it will introduce improvements to the general game systems but let’s be realistic here, this isn’t going to happen. This is just PR talk and nothing more.”
Cut features will never be implemented that’s for sure but improvements to gameplay are not impossible, they did it with every game in TW series.
Also i’m pretty sure the MP will be abandoned or release after several years, their game and their engine won’t be ready for MP anytime soon, too janky for that

  5. you know how terrible your game is when it’s hyped and I haven’t even thought about pirating it.

  6. “CD Projekt RED claims that Cyberpunk 2077’s performance has reached a satisfying level
They also claimed a lot of other stuff before release….so i don’t know about this one

  7. This is so pathetic, holy sh*t.
Even worse are the vile wretches with Stockholm Sydnrome defending this company.

    1. So are you. Bitter skinny geek doing the typical “sony games are all bad if they haven’t been ported to pc.” Just go back to your 6 year old, low budget, indie garbage like all of the other hairy hermits.

      1. To be fair, there is some decent 6 year old, low budget, indie garbage out there. Like Sunless Sea, or Hotline Miami 2.

    2. Master Debating isn’t wrong on the BlackBox Bubble and Solipsism within the woke group that replaced the veteran developers after TW3

    3. The game itself would’ve been alright if not for all the corporate lies and drama that were floating around the release. That really spoiled the fun. The realization that CDPR truly is just like any other megacorp of the industry was a real downer for me.

      1. No it wouldn’t, it would still be a railroaded “cinematic” sh**ty GTA clone. Except that instead of being panned by the sizeable number of idiots who fell for this garbage game and company, it would be panned by a small audience that would be quickly shushed by said braindead idiots

  8. In other words, “satisfying” to their shareholders now that the game is finally back on the PlayStation Store… despite it coming with an official warning to not buy it if you have a standard model PS4.

  9. Even though I think In 5 years this game will be better game systems wise, the bad story will always keep it from being really good.

  10. – Cyberpunk 2077’s performance has reached a satisfying level. Now it’s like a movie!
    – What do you mean?
    – 24 fps.

    1. Now it’s like a movie!

what do you mean “Now it’s like”

it was a movie to begin with

  11. Cyberpunk does play decently well if you use DLSS performance with DLSS2.2. It really helps with sharpness and it’s at a level where while I can appreciate the extra fidelity of native res you can still enjoy the reflections and lighting to a higher degree because it’s not 30 fps.

  12. They care more about wokeing on social media and going to sodom pride parades than about learning how to program a proper code.

  13. if they didn’t replace their game developers with Social Justice activists then there would have not been any problems

therefore CD Projekt Red and this game absolutely deserve to fail and be hammered because of it

  14. No game released since January 2020 should use the world “satisfying” unless it’s made to run at 144 FPS on the highest available settings with the current high-end generational graphics card. The mid range should attain 144hz in the High range and the low end should get it on Mid – all this on 1080p.

Last gen should get 60hz on Ultra, at least. F*k this accelerating industry justifying trash performance with gimmicks hidden behind poor implementation and optimization.

And no, this should be the minimum release performance. Waiting for patches that will never be enough until the next gen of GPUs is dishonest at best.
