SEGA has just released Yakuza 6: The Song of Life on PC and, as always, we’ve decided to share our initial PC performance impressions.
QLOC is the team that has handled the PC version and the game is running on the Dragon Engine. And, as the title suggests, the game can run comfortably with 60fps in 4K/Max on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080.
For these first tests, we used an Intel i9 9900K with 16GB of DDR4/3800Mhz, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Founder’s Edition. We also used Windows 10 64-bit, and the latest version of the official GeForce drivers.
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 had no trouble running the game with 60fps in 4K/Max Settings. Do note that this game runs with 30fps on the Xbox Series X (at least for now). As such, and currently, only PC gamers can enjoy it at 4K/60fps.
Contrary to the Yakuza HD Remastered Collection, Yakuza 6 features amazing keyboard and mouse controls. Mouse movement feels great, so kudos to QLOC for offering such a thing.
The only downside with the PC version is some stuttering that occurs while exploring the city. I’ve installed the game on a Samsung 970 Evo SSD so I don’t know why there is stuttering. So yeah, this is definitely something that QLOC will have to fix (or at least minimize) via a future update.
Our PC Performance Analysis for Yakuza 6 will go live this weekend, so stay tuned for more. Until then, enjoy the following 4K screenshots!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. Now this game, it needed to be a day 1 buy for me.
I’m still finishing Kiwami 2. I played most on PS already, but didn’t finish most. Plan to complete whole series. Great games.
Nice. And it’s also pretty cheap on Fanatical
Sheeet game
“the game can run comfortably with 60fps in 4K/Max on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080.”
“The only downside with the PC version is some stuttering that occurs while exploring the city”
If it is stuttering it is not run comfortably.
“comfortably” is subjective.
being stoked a 3080 runs this game at 60fps at 4k just tells me that it’s still not worth it to jump in to 4k. 1440p just seems like the sweet spot still. Maybe the gen after this i’ll dive in to 4k.
