Amazing game. Bought it back in 2018 on Steam. Gotta replay it one of these days.
I preferred the redux honestly. The lighting, while it may not suit certain preferences, is far more accurate and believable.
The original had better graphics. Modern cards can handle it much better.
How? Redux has higher quality/resolution textures, more accurate lighting, more lighting, point lights that cast shadows, added DOF, improved 2D assets, and a lot more.
Original has better lighting , is how the game was intented to look.
But more important, the original had more character animations and the max. difficulty works properly, HUD pops up as you look at your watch…like its supposed to.
The Ranger Hardcore diff. in Last Light and Exodus is just lazy and half-a$$’d , what a shame.

I hate how much less darker are the dark areas in the Redux (and that’s important in a game when 75% of it you are indoors, in tunnels)…destroys the atmosphere.
Redux is much worse than the original gameplay-wise.
