Windows 10 feature 2

Windows 10 finally allows you to change refresh rates in a easier way

Microsoft has implemented a new graphical feature in the latest Update for Windows 10. Windows 10 20H2 now allows gamers to change their monitor refresh rates in an easier way. Instead of using the AMD/NVIDIA control panel (or having to navigate numerous menus), PC gamers can now change their refresh rate from Windows 10’s Display Settings.

I’m pretty sure that those with high refresh rate monitors will find this new addition useful. This feature is available on Windows 20H2 Update that you can download right now.

Alongside this change, Microsoft has removed the classic “System” page in the Control Panel. Additionally, the team has improved the Start Menu, and has made some notification enhancements. It has also brought some Modern Device Management (MDM) improvements.

  1. What they should allow is turning on / off blue tooth from the system tray. The icon vanishes once turned off and you have to go digging to turn back on again.

  2. If You use Corsair link and msi dragon Center update it before updating Windows. If not… You are gonna have a nasty restarting endless loop bug

    1. the drm used in intrusive and garbage and blocks me from entering the game untill i play a session online

i have the game and all games i have prefer it pirated so i don’t have to go online to say i have it anymore plus performance is always better

just good old plug and play

      1. Funny you mention that the first game i got a crack for was Need For Speed Hot Pursuit and i owned it on disc but since i redid windows it said i activated it to many times lol

        I was like “ok then”
Since then it’s either steam or cracked games.

    2. The last time i checked, if you pirate something you can still buy it later…if you think is worth your money.

  3. More bloat for no damn reason. How often does a user even change their refresh rate? Btw this change only saves you 2 clicks and the new windows build comes with 900 more bugs, so enjoy. Fxck nadella and bill gates two cancer chromosomes and world class pedophiles.

Also imagine being rxtarded enough to be on the insider ring. Like seriously what’s wrong with you.

  4. heaps of menu’s heaps of bloated crap to find that one thing we want to turn off or on, they gave us one thing back but what are they gonna take away next?

  5. LOL..That was a Stinker John!
Just as easy to get into NVCP, with the same clicks for F*CK sake ..You are funny mate 😀
What pc gamer want to see that POS win 10, when one ALLWAYS should use the CP from the GPU maker, to begin with..yeah just LOL!

  6. I already can change fast using the NVIDIA Control Panel and I believe AMD has a similar option. If you have to “open control panel -> system -> display -> advanced settings” is more clicks than using the already solutions mentioned. They should give a option to change in one click. Anyway it’s good to have more options, including for those that don’t has discrete GPU (or when Intel release their GPU), imho.

  7. Not sure this is a big time saver, just this morning had to open different windows and links to change the refresh rate testing it out (latest release). If it’s a click less than before Im not sure I noticed.

What would be nice is if Windows 10 updates (the big ones) didnt automatically remove my Catylist Control Center every time and also my Speccy system info tool. Have to redownload and reinstall every time. It’s a known thing that doesnt effect everyone, and MS has refused to comment on it.

  8. Why changes the Framerate globally, when I can just do it epr game of my choice via Nvidia CP?.

Like why the hell would I want to just globally cap my games?. Some old games I’ll run at full on 144hz, while modern games I’ll cap at 120, sometimes 100 if it’s a crappy port.
