First in-engine trailer for the next-gen Forza Motorsport game

Microsoft and Turn 10 have released the first in-engine trailer for the next-gen Forza Motorsport game. This new FM game will be called Forza Motorsport, and will support real-time ray tracing.

Unfortunately, Microsoft has not revealed any additional details about it. My guess is that Turn10 will use ray tracing in order to enhance the game’s reflections, and not for its Global Illumination or Ambient Occlusion.

There is currently no ETA on when Forza Motorsport will come out. However, the game will be available at launch day on Xbox Game Pass.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

UPDATE:

Microsoft has shared some additional tech details about the Ray Tracing in Forza Motorsport.

“With the new Forza Motorsport, ray tracing is coming to ForzaTech, you will see a dynamic world in 4K, 60fps, that is connected and dynamic – from surfaces of cars reflecting off each other, to brilliant red paint bouncing off intensely detailed track surfaces, and the interplay of light and shadow throughout the world.”

  1. Its strange to me that after all this preparing MS is the one that seems caught off guard by next gen, they have nothing to show. Everything is in early development.

    1. I heard Turn 10 and other studios are helping with Halo: Infinite in order for it ship for the launch of the Xbox Series X. That would explain the delays for these games when it was expected they would be launch titles for the Xbox Series X.

      1. Like always microsoft puts their eggs in one basket. They can’t walk and chew gum at the same time. Nothing has changed from i was last working there. Almost a decade and they are still the same, if what you say is true. They have this BS culture over at microsoft, as if HALO is there saving grace and it comes before all things. You mention halo and the idiots just stat marching for no damn reason. Say what you want about Sony, they have their schitt together. They don’t depend on one franchise to eat.

        1. Yeah i do kinda agree, Halo is nowhere near the franchise it once was, the last game wasnt well received either. Showing a bunch of CGI trailers of things to come is worrysome. Microsoft is in no position to be playing the long game when their new ocnsole is months away, i fear Sony might absolutely dominate next gen.

  2. Remember that Microsoft recently banned “hateful symbols and flags” like Confederate, Imperial Japan etc and bans all users who either use it or created it. Forza is pozzed.

        1. Those flags represent very racist ideals. Why would any normal person be against removing them out of games?

        1. It’s not censorship if it was the original choice of the developers. No one wants to sponsor hate in their games. It would be a stupid decision.

  3. Gotta love how Phil Spencer was all like “unprecedented realism, with ray tracing and native 4K resolution, ALL at 60 frames per second…” only to show a 30fps trailer…???

  4. i just wanna all forza racing games is coming to steam…..when, microsoft……. when ?? uplay, origin, has coming to steam…..
