Capcom has announced that its upcoming patch, which will go live on July 18th, will add official support for NVIDIA’s DLSS technology. DLSS stands for Deep Learning Super Sampling and is a feature that only the latest RTX graphics cards support.
Using the powers of AI and deep learning, owners of RTX GPUs will be able to enjoy a better/faster performance in this particular title. However, it remains to be seen whether this DLSS implementation will be as good as the one we’ve seen in other games, like Anthem, or whether it will be a blurry mess like the initial implementations of DLSS in Metro Exodus.
Despite its dated visuals, Monster Hunter World requires a really high-end GPU in order to be enjoyed at higher resolutions. As we’ve already showcased, a single NVIDIA GeForce RTX2080Ti is simply unable to offer a smooth gaming experience in 4K on Max settings. Therefore, and provided the DLSS implementation is ideal, owners of NVIDIA’s most powerful GPU will finally be able to run this monster hunting game in 4K/Max settings with 60fps.
Capcom claims that DLSS will either require resolutions 2560×1440 or higher (for 16:9 aspect ratio) and 3360×1440 or higher (21:9 aspect ratio) in order to work. This basically means that there won’t be any support for 1080p DLSS.
We’ll be sure to test this upcoming DLSS patch once it goes live on July 18th, and share with you some comparison screenshots and benchmarks!

Just reduce your native res to 70% boom voila you got DEE EL ES ES POWERED BY NVIDYA TECHNOLOGY THAT ONLY THE MOST EXPENSIVE KEBABS OWN
Gaming dev in 2019… Instead tweaking, improving game and performance let’s just add ANOTHER tech to engine, let the engine be heavier…
That MT Framework 2.0 crap is old as hell, that revision with DX11 it’s from 2012 and has broken CPU support you need 3rd party app to fix that, but Crapcom doesn’t care about it.
What makes more sense, Nvidia’s DLSS super blur or AMD’s sharpening that’s open to all to use?
Yeah, you clearly haven’t used DLSS at all…
Clearly and DLSS (Does Look Super Sh*t) should not exist in the same sentence.
Says a clown who is completely out of touch…except with himself.
you can also use sharpening with nvidia if you want to. they have it in their freestyle since 2018. plus nvidia freestyle will work on any nvidia GPU and not limited to Turing only.
This Game already Blurry as Hell and
DLSS will only add more Blur. AMD’s new Sharpening Filter is much better
blurry? turn off volume rendering, if you haven’t already
dlss is blur effect deal with it
if you want to use sharpening with nvidia then just use freestyle. and you don’t need nvidia latest GPU to use it.
Not sure why they bothered adding it. Doesn’t seem like it would give MHW a massive visual improvement, considering that it didn’t do much for FFXV, which was already better looking than MHW, texture/fx wise.
If you did a little research, you would know that MHW & Anthem both come up short without DLSS around 50fps @max settings4K UHD. The 20fps performance gain is whats more important.
Oh I’ve been aware of it, it’s just not a world of difference kind of importance, that would be welcomed by everyone, myself included. I’d be more “need this in my life”, if it gave me 50-100% more gain, rather than anything less than 50%.
DLSS is a gimmick
Aren’t all graphics features just gimmick?
lol it is gimmick just because it was made by nvidia?
no because we have yet to see wide support for it
