Call of Duty Modern Warfare officially announced, releases on October 25th, first gameplay trailer

As promised, Activision has officially revealed the next part in the Call of Duty series which is – as we have already reported – Call of Duty Modern Warfare. In order to celebrate this announcement, Activision released the game’s debut trailer, which features in-game footage, that you can find below.

According to its description, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare promises to push the boundaries and breaks rules the way only Modern Warfare can. Players will engage in breathtaking covert operations alongside a diverse cast of international special forces throughout iconic European cities and volatile expanses of the Middle East.

In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, players will be thrust into an immersive narrative spanning the entire game. Players can experience the ultimate online playground with classic multiplayer or squad-up and play cooperatively in a collection of elite operations, accessible to all skill levels.

It’s also worth noting that Call of Duty Modern Warfare will support cross-play support between the PC and consoles, and there won’t be any Season Pass.

“With the launch of Modern Warfare, the team is taking steps to unite the community. First, the team plans for Modern Warfare to be played together across PC and console through cross-play support. Also, the team is eliminating the traditional season pass, so that they can deliver more free maps and content as well as post-launch events to all players.”

The game is currently scheduled for an October 25th release.

Enjoy!

  1. Look, it’s that old game you liked, we made it again now for current year standards!

    Call of Lootbox: Modern Whales

        1. I don’t have audio at the moment so I don’t know if the trailer says anything in particular, but I did notice there’s a stronk independent womyn of color at 0:50 that I’m pretty sure wasn’t in the original. Maybe that’s what he’s talking about.

          1. I don’t know if we should call “her” a woman… i’m pretty confused to be honest. But i think that might be it. Still, won’t judge a book by it’s cover. Just because there’s a strong, independed black “woman” doesn’t mean it’s something PC, SJW related. Though, they could’ve made her more… i don’t know, woman-ish?

          2. “Just because there’s a strong, independed black “woman” doesn’t mean it’s something PC, SJW related.”
            Surely you jest

          3. I dunno, man. I don’t see any problem regarding the SJW or feminists in this game. If you’ve seen my comments i always call out this SJW BS in video games. Even if the game has some kind of PC agenda, they made sure not to make it obvious in the trailer. This game doesn’t scream “i’m an stronk wahman” like woflenstein youngblood does.
We’ll see how the game turns out to be, i guess.
And yes, i was joking about the whole strong, independent, black woman.

          4. I guess the Special Operative woman in a combat role, the woman terrorist and the Rebel woman protagonist are just a figment of my shitlord imagination.
I’m sure it’s nothing and that the same company that delivered black nazi women will deliver good representation in this game as well.

  2. At least it is on a « modern » setting. No technology bullshyte or woman wearing bionic arms in the 2nd ww…

    1. Yeah, you’ll see a sassy black woman that doesn’t need no man as a Frontline Infantry Major instead

  3. It may be the first time in a very long time since I didn’t get disappointed from Call of Duty trailer. Call of Duty’s one of the strongest part is its character driven cinematic story telling. But sadly we already know that Activision will try to milk it to death.

    1. That’s true, I was expecting some garbage rap or hipster rock
Trailer is solid, unfortunately we all know this is the same yearly cashcow

Infinity Ward has been a corpse since it’s original founders left

  4. It really does seem like Activision is just desperate these days.

“Hey! Remember COD4? We’re rebooting it again!”

    Greeeat

    1. Hey if they reboot mw2 and black ops id play it, those games were insanely ridiculous and kewl.

    2. They’re not desperate… they’re just realizing the people who were in charge the last 10 years had no fing clue what they were doing.

      1. They’re not desperate… they’re realizing they can milk stupid people over and over with new textures and same sh**ty game…there fixed your comment

        1. People WANT the same game! It used to be a great series, both single and multiplayer. They’re finally going back to the recipe that worked, AND finally upgrading to a new engine! You’re going to criticize that?

          1. COD series died loooong ago, trying to get the old ones back to life wont work, just wait and see.

          2. I’ll wait and see myself and a bunch of people actually get back to playing CoD again because of the above reasons.

Why do you think there’s been so many indy mw shooters the last few years? Think, McFly.

  5. No one can replace Captain’s Price voice actor. It also looks like Price is younger in this game… another reboot?
This franchise is dead, but they might at least milk it as much as possible before burying it.

  6. LOL they open up with a super stealthy scene only to f*ck it up seconds later by showing Price smoking a huge cigar *double facepalm*

  7. Amazing, Modern Warfare is my favorite, just pre-ordered the Operator Enhanced Edition from Battle.net.

  8. Amazing, Modern Warfare is my favorite, just pre-ordered the Operator Enhanced Edition from Battle net

    1. The lack of self awareness in this comment is staggering
This is your average consumer nowadays

      1. Try not to take shills and trolls too seriously. Don’t forget that this is the same guy who wouldn’t mind a strong waman protagonist, and also the same guy who shills for EGS in every article.

    1. You have to be mentally challenged in order to believe that.

You know how many times they’ve said NEW engine?

You can tell from a glance that it’s the same they’ve always used, with some side grades.

    1. They won’t stop. Most of their customers are underage, those little sh*ts will always buy COD. Even if it’s the same game with a barely graphic improvement.

  9. Amazing, Modern Warfare is my favorite, just pre-ordered the Operator Enhanced Edition from Battlenet

  10. They should update COD’s setting for 2019. Your missions should be to help liberate Western Europe from third world invasion by attacking targets in Israel.

  11. cool another game that teaches the goyim to hate muslims and to go die for israel in the military! i wonder who publishes this game… oh some jew named bobby kotick, purely a coincidence none of the games have israel as the enemy! remember to kill those germans, russians and middle easterners(except jewish)…

    1. wat.exe
you honestly want a game where we march to Palestine and kill all jews and liberate the arabs ? lmao that’s not how it works
fun fact: Even your quran clearly states that jews lived in the middle east thousands of years before Arabs even existed , for reference check Chapter of Moses and jesus in Quran and stop writing this dumb crap online and make yourself look like an uneducated tool
this game is about Terrorism not global country to country drama

      1. lol im not a muslim or islamic. i like bacon, and think Muhammad is a gay. i see your either a mad jew or a upset boomer. go sign up for the army and die for israel if you love it so much. stay mad kiddo.

  12. Though I don’t give a damn about this so called “reboot”…in fact, stopped caring about this franchise since MW2! But, the trailer brought back memories from 2007…COD:MW was amazing!

  14. Very realistic shading on the character models. They’ll look great during those canned death animations from COD2 that they keep recycling in every game.
