Epic releases the full length video for Chaos, showing next-gen high performance physics & destruction

Last week, we shared a video from GDC 2019 in which Epic Games showcased some truly next-gen high performance physics and destruction systems that will be coming in Unreal Engine 4. And today, the team has released the full length video from the Chaos tech demo.

According to its description, Chaos will be coming in early access to Unreal Engine 4.23. The video below shows the full play through of the real-time tech demo, which is set within the world of Robo Recall. With Chaos, users can achieve cinematic-quality visuals in real time in scenes with massive-scale levels of destruction, with unprecedented artist control over content creation.

I’m certain that current-gen games will never come close to the destruction system that is showcased here, so I just hope that next-gen games will at least come close to it.

Anyway, this is truly a next-gen experience so I also hope that Epic Games will release this tech demo so that everyone can run it (and see how it performs, and whether current-gen PC systems are capable of running these more advanced physics techniques).

Enjoy!
