JUMP FORCE is a game that a lot of manga/anime fans are looking forward to. The game releases on February 15th, however its Ultimate Edition has been available for a while and we can confirm that the game will not be using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech.
This is the second PC release in a raw from Bandai Namco that does not use the controversial anti-tamper tech. While Ace Combat 7 was protected by Denuvo, both God Eater 3 and JUMP FORCE do not use it.
I don’t know the reasons behind this decision or whether this is a taste of things to come regarding Bandai Namco’s future releases. The point is that this anime/manga 3D brawler is only protected by Steam’s DRM and that’s something that will please all those that boycott Denuvo games.
Bandai Namco has been using Denuvo in a lot of its titles so it’s really refreshing witnessing new PC releases from this publisher without the anti-tamper tech. SEGA is also another publisher that has not used Denuvo in its latest PC games. Yakuza 0 is no longer protected by Denuvo and Yakuza Kiwami will most likely not be using it too.

Is Bamco getting untarded or is Denuvo getting too expensive? That is the question.
They probably realized that Denuvo is just placebo effect since it’s cracked in the first few days after the initial launch.
Too bad companies like square-enix will never come to their senses. I was the biggest supporter of Enix pre-2014. They just went full Darkside after that. The reason why i WAS a big Enix supporter is because they had a NO PORT policy when dealing with PC. All their PC games were developed for PC separately. But jump to present day and it’s one giant joke of a company. None of the franchises are even done by the original devs, those devs have moved the hell on. Instead what they did was create a studio in a different city with the original name attached to it. For example Avalanche NY is NOT AVALANCHE, that’s why the Just Cause games are so terrible and terribly optimized now. They have ruined that franchise. So sad man… 🙁
Avalance isn’t owned by Square Enix
It’s a private company
The Avalanche heads created that studio themselves
why use denuvo for a game that wont sell sh*t, specially on pc..waste of money. its gonna sell less than 50k copies for sure.
+30 FPS gain then…
and it got pirated before release. sad
Thankfully they stop using it altogether
Denuvo just hurts legitimate customers and does nothing against piracy, if anything it just makes me suport piracy even harder
it does make something against piracy…not all games are cracked week 1
And everyone will just wait
Nice one. This game looks so good and the graphic is so Awesome. just hope they add more character soon. I’ll get it when it’s on sell
Oh. So they didn’t use deadnof*k. I thought Codex managed to crack it before release. Anyway good for you Namco for dropping this DRM BULLSHET altogether. *#RESPECT#*
Denuvo is S*t
