And it’s official everyone. Insomniac Games has released the launch trailer for the PC version of Sunset Overdrive, confirming that this Xbox One exclusive game is finally coming to the PC.
Not only that, but Insomniac Games has also confirmed Amazon’s release date which is November 16th, tomorrow (or today depending on your region).
Sunset Overdrive is an open-world playground of post-apocalyptic possibilities in which players can vault, grind and wall-run while using a deadly and unconventional arsenal. With hyper-agility, unique weapons, and customizable abilities, Sunset Overdrive aims to rewrite the rules of shooters while delivering an irreverent adventure.

Unfortunately, all of the marketing material is mentioning Windows 10 only so far. The SteamDB entry is still being regularly updated, but we may have to wait a bit longer for the cancer-free version.
Still very glad to see a port finally, the games always looked pretty fun.

Steam HAS a DRM, but Steam itself is a Store, many games sold in Steam are DRM free. It’s entirely up to the developer if they want to use the Steam “DRM” or not.

True but there are some games on Steam that don’t use the Steam DRM. It’s up to the Publisher but most choose to use it especially on newer games. For anyone that is curious you can Google for a list of games that are on Steam but don’t use Steam DRM.
People cried about steam just like they do about uplay, MS store and origin. It’s quite silly.

Dude Steam is a STORE, just because you and they don’t know, doesn’t mean it’s a lie .Here is just a small list of the games that i have currently installed on my PC that are DRM free : Hollow Knight, Ori and the Blind Forest, Bastion, Chroma Squad, Crawl, Divine Divinity, Fallout, FEZ, Flame In The Flood, FTL Faster Than Light , GemCraft, Hacknet, Hyper Light Drifter, Kingdom/Kingdom New Lands, Odallus: The Dark Call, Pathologic Classic HD, Stardew Valley, SUPERHOT, The Binding Of Isaac, The Swapper, Transistor, Valkyria Chronicles, Slime Rancher, RUINER, The Witcher 3 .
Now these are just the games tthat are DRM free that i have currently installed in my PC i’m pretty sure the entire list is far greater. Just in case you don’t believe me you can just test it. Rename your Steam.exe and directly run the games from their .exe’s in their folders.
That’s a nice personal story and all but steam is still drm.
Might be a DX12 only game. That is why it says Windows 10 in the marketing material. Its probably coming to both the Microsoft Store and Steam. But will only be playable on Windows 10. No Win 7, No 8/8.1, No Mac, No Linux etc.
LOL thats what they did with recore even the requirements say win10 but worked on win 7 just fine.
Its now confirmed for Microsoft Store and Steam. And according to min requirements posted on some key site it works on Win7 and above so that means in most probably DX11.
It’ll probably hit Steam as well.

Better late then never. I would wait 10 years for Red Dead 2 to come to PC.
Yeah i will also wait 10Years for RDR 2 along with RDR Remastered for PC. But its F-ing R? can’t trust them. And this also a fault of 2K they published the game but never intended to release it on PC.
RDR used the earliest version of the rage engine and run like uttter trash on ps3, at 480p. Look at gta iv and how it turned out, its impossible to port rdr on pc, its a giant mess. Max payne 3 shipped with the latest version of the rage engine which was optimized for pc. thats right, superior than the one used in gta v, then the re release for ps4/xbone futured the latest version and then came the pc version.
What i am saying is you wont have to wait years for a pc release.
stop using 50 iq teenager excuses. one of the developers did say the game was a mess in terms of coding but kids made it an excuse otherwise we wouldn’t see an xbox one x version. the only reason they didn’t release it on PC was because back then PC market was full of pirates and sales were pretty much proof of that.
Rockstar said at the time RDR1 released that it wouldn’t be worth the trouble to port it to PC due to market conditions. 2010 was a different time than now for PC gaming. Some Developers believed almost all of us were pirates and they still believed PC gaming was dying. Consoles were still king. That was where the money was.
For the last few years PC gaming is number 1 in revenue of the 3 major platforms so obviously Publishers are taking notice of this and porting what were previously console exclusives to PC. We will definitely get RDR2 but only after Rockstar has sold millions of copies on console to the people that won’t wait for a PC release and then some of them will buy it a second time on PC when it does release for the superior gaming experience on PC.
If we ever do get RDR1 it might be when the next gen consoles release and then maybe Rockstar will release a remaster but who knows.
what are you on about? no one “believed” anything, market isn’t a tv show. PC sales were terrible and most PC gamers were pirates and many are even today. consoles actually were “kings” and again no one believed anything, they had and still have financial facts to back it up.
PC gaming is still not number 1 in revenue for most game developers. PC gamers buy a lot of cosmetic items and microtransactions, sale wise even xbox beats PC most of the times.
