Playground Games has announced that Forza Horizon 4 surpassed two million players in its first week. Going into more details, more than 4.6 million hours of Forza Horizon 4 gameplay have been watched across Mixer, Twitch, YouTube and Facebook as of October 9th.
Furthermore, players have logged more than 822.7 million miles – that’s probably not covered under manufacturer warranty, the community has settled in quite nicely living the Horizon Life, purchasing more than 4.1 million properties and owning more than 74.4 million cars, and more than 377.7 million roads were discovered.
Gavin Raeburn, Studio Director at Playground Games, said:
“It has been one week since we launched Forza Horizon 4 and we are humbled by the overwhelmingly positive feedback we continue to receive from players around the world. We are proud to say that in this first week alone, there are currently two million players driving around Forza Horizon 4’s Britain. On behalf of everyone at Playground Games, thank you for supporting Forza Horizon 4 and making the game such a success!”
Contrary to its predecessor, Forza Horizon 4 is well optimized for the PC platform. While there are some minor issues with the PC version, for the most part it looks and runs incredibly well on the PC, and does not suffer from any CPU optimization issues like its predecessor did when it was initially launched.

While it’s basically FH3 with a couple of new stuff, the game is fun for those that like car games. I was quite surprised to experience it stutter less, crash less with a smooth experience overall. In my book, they’ve done a good game that deserves to be played. For those that played FH3 maybe you can skip but those that skipped FH3, it’s a must. I’m having a good time with it.
You and me both then! It really is a good game, i was just stating that out of caution.

The Welsh, Australian and New Zealanders will pop a chubby!

It’s great.
Well deserved and easily the best driving game of all time. I have already racked up 135 hours in the game and I just cannot recommend it enough to everyone, even if you have no interest in cars. After playing Forza Horizon 4 you will see what I am talking about.
Clothing, Yes. Emotes and Horns, No.
I would kill for a gold mustache.
Best racing game of all time? I don’t know about that…
But, it’s a good time for sure.
I said best driving game of all time NOT racing. And what do you think is the best driving game of all time?
Hmmm. Fair point. You might be right there.
In your opinion.
And in the opinion of literally everyone who has played it.
You “literally” just made that up. Either that or you literally don’t understand what the word “literally” means.
Yes indeed I did.
It’s just FUN. If you wanna go serious there’s something for you. If you wanna go have fun, there’s something for you. It is beautiful and plays well. I’m glad i discovered the Horizon franchise.
It’s a good racing game, held hostage by that awful store. also doesn’t matter if it has two million players or 10 billion, if you are going with these numbers instead of actual sales, then it didn’t do very well. just print something with high numbers on it so shareholders don’t hang themselves.
Cant run… it worked for the first time but now always closing after starting it.
I had the same problem with FH3, especially after my W10 clean install. I installed a free uwp game and this problem disappeared.
FH3 and FM7 already bought and runs properly with a bunch of UWP games. So clearly Win 10 store problem, or the game itself.
I have only 2 uwp games, ROTTR and FH3. ROTTR was working properly, not FH3.
I had to uninstall the free uwp games and redownload it few times after some updates as well, it always solved my problem (while Microsoft hasn’t)
You have to close RTSS, if you have it.
thanks that worked. only this title incompatible with rtss?
You’re welcome. I think it affects certain games too. Asphalt 9 freezes if I have RTSS toggled on.
I’ll buy a FH game if the location is Japan.
Such is the peasantry of Xbox and its associated ‘services’.
FAO: Sp4ctr0 Spencer,
Microsoft no longer require your ‘services’ here on DSOG now that we have dear old Squiffy (who else!) and FasterThanFTL to repeatedly fight their corner, lol.
So l like a universally acclaimed game a lot and suddenly I am a corporate shill for Microsoft.
Ok.
Multiplayer sucks in this game. I want the same racing available as FH3 did.
